Nagkapaliwanagan na sina Rita Avila at Boy Abunda matapos mabalita ang pagkadismaya ng aktres sa interview ng veteran host kay Vice President Leni Robredo.
Pinuna ni Rita si Boy sa paraan nito ng pagtatanong sa one-on-one interview niya kay Robredo noong Miyerkules, January 26, 2022.
Gaya ng supporters ni Leni, hindi ikinatuwa ni Rita ang “constant interruptions and follow-up questions” ni Boy kay Robredo dahil may time limit ang pagsagot ng presidential candidate.
Pero kumalma na si Rita matapos nilang mag-usap ni Boy.
Sabi pa ng aktres, “Boy had good words for VP Leni.”
Ngayong Biyernes, January 28, ipinaalam ni Rita via social media na nagpadala siya ng text message kay Boy “out of decency.”
Tinawagan naman siya ni Boy at nagkausap sila.
Bahagi ng post ni Rita, “Out of decency, I reached out to him and he called to return the respect.
“In his appreciation for my trust, we promised to remain as good friends in this kind of world.”
Sabi ng aktres, irerespeto nila ni Boy ang isa’t isa kahit magkaiba sila ng paniniwala.
“For the longest time, Boy and I have been friends though we do not see each other often.
“We are both outspoken and honest, yet, we can still respect each other even if we say dissenting comments or otherwise about relevant issues.”
Sa kanyang Instagram Story, ibinunyag pa ni Rita na pinupuri ni Boy si Robredo.
Ani Rita: “Boy had good words for VP Leni when he called me up; am sharing this para medyo mapawi naman ang mga puso nating nasaktan.”
Sa kanyang Facebook account ngayong gabi, nagdagdag ng paliwanag si Rita sa pag-uusap nila ni Boy.
Wala raw nakikitang mali si Boy sa pagpapahayag ni Rita ng opinyon.
Giit pa ng aktres, marami ang sumang-ayon sa kanyang sentimyento nang punahin niya ang paraan ng pag-interview ng veteran host kay Robredo.
Post ni Rita, “Boy didn’t see anything wrong with my public opinion, you are free to think of what you want but what matters to me is Boy.
“I felt free to voice out in public because I have my own honest opinion about something I have witnessed. D lang ako ang nakakita at nakaramdam.”
“I felt free to voice out because I know Boy will accept my honesty.
“I felt free to voice out because it was also the voice of many.”
Sa huli, sinabi ni Rita na si Boy pa mismo ang nagpayo sa kanyang ipaalam sa publiko na nagkausap sila “so they could see how proper two open minded friends can be.”
