Naging bukas ang mag-asawang Heart Evangelista, 36, at Sorsogon Governor Francis "Chiz" Escudero, 52, tungkol sa kanilang prenuptial agreement.
Tinalakay nila ito nang tanungin ni Heart si Chiz kung ano ang mabibigay nitong payo sa couples tungkol sa usapang pera.
"Under the law, if you don't enter into a prenup agreement—which we have—the property relations between husband and wife will be governed by what is called an absolute community of property.
"Ibig sabihin nun, what's yours is mine, what's mine is yours. Common lahat yun, pagsasamahin yun, unless you enter into a prenup agreement, and then you get to define your relationship.
"In our case, we have a prenup, which is a complete separation of property. Whats hers is hers. What's mine is mine," paliwanag ni Chiz sa YouTube ni Heart nitong nakaraang Biyernes, January 14, 2022.
"For those of you who doesn't understand how a prenup really works, some are afraid kasi, what if—knock, knock, knock—what if may masamang mangyari sa partner mo, hindi raw mapupunta sa kanila or sa family nila," komento ni Heart.
Sa puntong ito, ipinaliwanag ni Chiz na may batas kung paano hahatiin ang ari-arian sakaling pumanaw ang spouse na may pre-nup agreement.
"In a prenup, it governs the property relations of husband and wife while they are still alive.
"If a spouse passes away, the rules of inheritance will govern. It says that your spouse will inherit from you.
"If the guy dies, the spouse will automatically have 50 percent. And then from the guy's 50 percent, dun magsi-share yung asawa niya, yung anak niya, or depende kung may anak siya sa labas.
"Inheritance is like a river flowing down. It never goes up. So if you have a wife, if you have a husband, if you have a kids, your parents will not inherit, your sister will not inherit.
"It's only when you don't have a spouse or kids or grandchildren that they start going up."
CHIZ AND HEART BELIEVE A PRENUP IS NOT A BIG DEAL
Naniniwala si Chiz na hindi isyu ang pagkakaroon ng prenup agreement ng isang couple.
Sabi ni Chiz, "Kung malawak naman pag-iisip niyong dalawa, puwede niyo naman pag-usapan yun.
"Kung hindi, baka maging issue pa—minamaliit yung isa, tinitignan nang maliit yung isa.
"Consequences of a prenup? I don't see any as long as long as you agree on it."
Iginiit din ni Heart na hindi nangangahulugang kapag may prenup ay hindi na magtutulungan sa finances ang isang couple.
"Yeah, hindi naman siya swapang-swapang kayong dalawa. I mean, you guys help each other pa rin.
"It's just you don't want to fight na, 'Bakit ka bumili niyan? Ganyan, ganyan...'
"If you can still provide for your wife even if you have a pre-nup of if you can still help your husband even if you have a prenup, it's still the same."
Sinang-ayunan ito ni Chiz.
"It is the same. It's just a formality. In your case, hindi naman ikaw ang may gusto, e," diretsahang sabi ni Chiz.
Napangiting komento ni Heart, "Oo, pero parang nagets ko siya."

Paglilinaw ni Heart, "Hindi, na-gets ko siya kasi nga magastos ako."

Nilinaw ni Chiz na ang mga payo niya kay Heart tungkol sa tamang paghawak ng pera ay gagawin pa rin niya with or without a prenup agreement.
"Hindi naman. Kahit wala naman tayong pre-nup I'll still say the same things over and over again.
"So there's no difference really.
"It's for the peace of mind of the people who asked you," tukoy ni Chiz sa kanilang prenup.
Sabay hirit ni Chiz, "Kesa mawala ka naman, e, di pirma na ako sa prenup."
Natawa na lang sila pareho rito.
Biro ni Heart, "Kasi nung kinasal kami meron kaming mga anak—may mga aso ako, siya din meron din siyang anak. So kumplikado."
ON PERSONAL PROPERTY
Nagtanong pa si Heart kung kasama rin ba ang bags, shoes, at jewelry sa maaaring paghatian sa mana.
Sagot ni Chiz, "Yes. The problem with personal poperty is someone can easily get it when someone's gone."
Singit ni Heart, "Unless you kind of have a file and give it to your lawyer."
Paglilinaw ulit ni Chiz, "Yes, but by the time the lawyer arrives at your home, it might not be even there anymore.
"So it depends. That's the difficult part."
