Michelle Madrigal and husband Troy Woolfolk are now separated and getting a divorce.
The former actress posted this update on her Instagram profile after "the amount of DM’s and comments" she and Troy have been receiving from followers.
Her post read: "@twoolf29 and I have been separated and are going through divorce. Of course, we have remained friends and co-parents to our beautiful daughter Anika."
Michelle requested for fans to give them "space" and to "respect" their decision. She also thanked them for the support.
The actress turned fitness trainer then concluded that she and Troy "will always have love for each other and cherish the good times rather than the bad ones."
On his part, Troy spoke about his separation from Michelle, saying they were "probably better friends than husband and wife."
He affirmed in his own Instagram post: "She still loves me, I still love her because we have our baby daughter that we will be co-parenting."
"No baby mama drama"
Michelle and Troy spared fans from the details of their separation, but the latter assured them that there's "no drama."
He wrote in his Instagram caption: "It's a shame that I even have to make this post but a lot of people have been so dang intrusive in my life and not letting me live so I felt forced to validate something that is really none of their business. We have no drama we are still cool."
Troy even left a comment on Michelle's post, hinting that their separation and divorce aren't affecting their friendship.
He wrote "we [sure] did look good together," referring to the photo Michelle posted on her feed.
People later replied to this comment:
One follower then came to Troy's defense, saying "stop the judgment."
Troy appreciated this reply and responded: "sometimes people create drama to entertain themselves..."
In Troy's own post, one follower insisted that the details of their separation should be shared. The person added that Troy owed his success to Michelle.
But Troy immediately shut down the comment saying, "Sounds like someone has no f*cking clue what they are talking about."
Michelle and Troy married in 2019, two years after the birth of their daughter Anika.
