It took me two years, but I killed the bomba films!” bulalas ni Morato sa product launch ng Oracur solution spray nitong Hulyo 10, Sabado sa Marco Polo Hotel, Meralco Av., Pasig City.

Namayagpag bilang "pene stars" sina Didith Romero, Amanda Amores, Myra Manibog, Myrna Castillo, Cherry Madrigal, George Estregan, Mark Joseph, Tony Martinez, Bobby Benitez, Ronald Nepomuceno, Tani Cinco, at marami pang iba.

suggestive titles

“Totoo ka, I don’t like the thought. Even the titles should not be allowed, yung suggestive titles na against the law,” lahad ng dating MTRCB chairman.

“Kapareha niyan, si Sharon Cuneta, may pelikula—Revirginized. That’s not allowed.

“As a matter of fact, noong panahon ni Lily Monteverde [Regal Films producer], panahon ko, may isang pelikula siya… Saging ni Pacing.

“I had to… I had to turn it down. It is the law, e — no suggestive titles. 'Tapos, the film was salacious itself.”

I know the mother [of Sharon] very well. I knew her,” pahayag ni Morato.

“Pero Revirginized is something that I cannot allow. Under the law, you cannot have a double meaning or salacious title.”

I also turned it down.”

“Inaaway ako pero I was just implementing the law. Because if I approve it, I’m the one who’ll go to jail."

“When I stepped down, Mother Lily was the first one naman to acknowledge on television, na it was the golden years of the film industry raw.

“‘Pero if you follow the law, and you go down to Parental Guidance, because bawal ang X-rated, e… Pati sa television, bawal ang adult [contents].

“It has to be up to Parental Guidance, General Patronage. Sabi ko, ‘You try to do clean films, especially yung mga suitable for children. Because manonood lahat, from the lolo, the parents, the children.’

“Napuno ang mga sinehan noon. Kaya noong mag-step down ako, sinabi ni Lily na during my term daw was the golden years of the movie industry, and they all made money.

“Paano ka kikita sa bomba films, it’s not even 5% of the public that go and watch? Yung mga may sira lang ang ulo!”

government responsibility

“The state has the right pa rin to control it,” saad ni Morato. “Because the internet, the television, and anything that goes through the air is a government… ahhm… ahhhm… siyempre, responsibility.

“Yeah, because you cannot say that you own the station, but then you are using a government space to beam all those shows out.

“So, I don’t know what’s their stand.”

“Anything that you show publicly, has to be controlled by the MTRCB,” paniniwala ni Morato.

May panawagan ba siya sa mga taga-pelikula para maghinay-hinay, o mag-self-regulate?

“Well, I gave them chance to self-regulate, but they don’t. They’re not disciplined enough, during my time, ha? Nagpapalusot pa rin."

ABS-CBN LAND ISSUE

“That’s not true. Huwag kayong maniwala sa mga tsismis. That’s not true,” diretsong pahayag ni Manoling.

“Ang aking property is right across Mario’s restaurant, yung white building. I live in the penthouse. That’s mine.

“I have nothing to do with ABS-CBN.”

“I know nothing of what happened there. Wala kaming pakialam.”

ORACUR USER

“I introduced it to PCSO. Di ba, nasa PCSO ako? So, ipinamigay namin sa mga mahihirap nationwide.

“For oral hygiene, and for toothaches. Because there are a lot of areas in the country with no dentist.

“So, I gave them. Then I found out it’s more than that," patotoo ni Morato.
