The fans of Encantadia were reminded of the time when Kylie Padilla, one of the lead characters, had to leave the popular GMA-7 series in February 2017.
The reason: Kylie, who played Amihan, the keeper of the air gem, got pregnant by her then boyfriend Aljur Abrenica.
In December 2018, the Kapuso actress and the Kapamilya actor got married.
In February 2021, Kylie posted cryptic posts on Instagram, which fueled the rumors she and Aljur were going through a rough patch.
Fast forward to July 7, 2021, Kylie's dad Robin Padilla revealed the couple's split, pointing to a "third party" as the cause.
On July 8, Encantadia made it to the top trends section of Twitter.
Apparently, some netizens blamed Aljur for what happened to Amihan’s character.

Another netizen pointed out that four years later, Encantadia fans are still affected by the sudden exit of the queen of the Encantadia kingdom.
In the end, netizens are still hoping that Encantadia 2016 will have a second season.
It can be recalled that the writers, headed by Suzette Doctolero, had to rework the story to ease out Kylie’s character from the series.
Amihan died after making a sacrifice to turn herself into an ivtre (or a soul), which is the only element that can fight against the hadezar or evil souls from the afterlife.
The character made a brief appearance in the last episode.
Encantadia 2016 ended with a cliffhanger, introducing a new character—the ice queen, a twin sister of Cassiopea (Solenn Heussaff).
GMA-7 has yet to reveal if they have plans of reviving Encantadia.
