Lotlot de Leon counts shooting her death scene in the 2004 horror movie Feng Shui as one unforgettable experience.
And even to this day, many moviegoers can still recall how gruesome it was.
To refresh the memory of those who may have forgotten the details: Lotlot’s character was in death throes after being beaten senseless with an ironing board (called “kabayo” in Filipino) by a drunk neighbor (Archie Adamos).
As Alice lies dying, she sees an appartion of Lotus Feet, the scary creature who claims the souls of those who encounter the mystical bagwa.

Her neighbor throws Alice's near-lifeless body out of a window, ultimately sending her to death. She meets her end on cases of Red Horse beer.
And thereby hangs the tale of Feng Shui, a "kabayo" as an instrument of death, a case of Red Horse as deathbed, and Alice herself being born in the Year of the Horse.

As seen in the film, Lotlot had to do minor stunts for the whole sequence.
But one trivia about that iconic scene: Lotlot actually did not know that she would be doing the stunts herself!
She reveals this during her PEP Spotlight interview, which aired on June 29, 2021.
Lotlot says with a smile, “Alam niyo ba, hindi ko akalain na gagawin ko iyon, kasi meron na akong double na nandoon.”
Lotlot was watching how the double did the stunts as director Chito Roño helmed the scene.
She recalls, “I was working with Kuya Archie, partner ko in that scene, hanggang sa plantsa and then nag-cut.
“And then, tinawag ni Direk iyong double ko kasi nga siya iyong malalaglag sa bintana.”
“So wow, I was so amazed. Nanonood akong ganun, paulit-ulit, paulit-ulit.
“Biglang sabi ni Direk Chito, ‘Lot…’ ‘Yes, Direk?’
“‘Napanood mo?’ ‘Opo, opo. Galing na galing ako!’”
Apparently, Direk Chito would also ask her to do the stunts!
Looking back, Lotlot appreciates the fact that Direk Chito believed she could pull it off.
“Nakakatuwa rin bilang aktor that your directors believe in you as well kasi that’s also important to an actor, e.
“Naniniwala ang director mo that you can deliver as an actor and iyong at par doon sa parang what they expect you to be.”
Another funny trivia that Lotlot shares is about the drink that caused her character’s death.
She narrates with a laugh, “Alam mo ba, isang trivia, ha. Nakakatawa kasi Red Horse used to be one of my favorite drinks!
“Kaya perfect siya na naging Year of the Horse ako doon!”
Lotlot is also thankful to the moviegoers who continue to remember this movie—which was top-billed by Kris Aquino, and shown 17 years ago.
“Nakakatuwa na hanggang ngayon naalala siya, naalala iyong pelikulang iyon, naaalala iyong trabahong ginawa ko para doon.
“So ibig sabihin, medyo tumatak siya sa karamihan and nakakatuwa na nababalik balikan. It’s nice to be remembered na meron kang nagawang nagkaroon ng impact sa tao.”
Lotlot also finds it amusing that her latest project, the WeTV original series Boyfriend #13, also involves astrology.
She says, “Iniisip ko, parang this is my second project that has something to do with Astrology di ba kasi like Boyfriend #13 is based on the signs and Feng Shui was the same. Di ba nga, year of the horse.
“It’s kind of similar so nakakatuwa lang din na sabi ko nga, this is meant to be.”
Boyfriend #13 is set to drop on WeTV on July 2, 2021. It is top-billed by Sue Ramirez, JC Santos, and JC de Vera, and directed by John “Sweet” Lapus.
