Netizens continue to notice funny and scene-stealing sidelights from the recently held Miss Universe 2020 pageant.
A viral caught-on-camera sidelight was when the candidates tried to adjust their places on stage to avoid being inadvertently blocked from view by others during the pageant's group presentation.
On May 17, 2021, a Twitter user named @sebbbyyyy uploaded a video clip showing Miss Ireland Nadia Sayers make that tiny movement on stage after host Mario Lopez accidentally blocked her from being seen on the camera.
As she moved to her left, Nadia smiled at the camera.
@sebbbyyyy wrote, "HAHAHAHAH IRELAND! EXPOSURE"
Apart Miss Ireland, our very own candidate, Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo, ended up hidden from view because of the stage blocking!
Twitter user @epongcj uploaded a video from TikTok, showing Rabiya being blocked from view, unintentionally however, by Miss Spain Andrea Martinez—as it often happens in any stage presentation of groups,
The TikTok user, who has the handle @brinbrin24, could be heard saying, "Miss Spain, puwedeng umusog ka nang kaunti?"
As the TikTok user said those words, Rabiya was actually seen moving to her right so that she could be seen on camera!
The TikTok user then screamed, "Ayan! Si Rabiya! Oh my God, ang ganda!"
The tweet received thousands of retweets from netizens.
A netizen named @quentinkei2000 quipped, "Sinakop mo na kami ng 300 years, pati ba naman sa exposure mananakop ka din?"
Rabiya had a Top 21 finish at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant held yesterday, May 17, 2021 (Manila time) at Seminole Hard Rock & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
Miss Mexico Andrea Meza was declared the winner.
