When it comes to delivering the news in timely fashion, the news teams of GMA-7 and ABS-CBN remain focused on doing just that without thought of the rivalry between the two networks.
This was demonstrated during the recent inauguration of the Quezon Institute Offsite Modular Hospital.
GMA-7 news anchor Raffy Tima was among the press people covering the event, but something was amiss when he was about to do his stand-up reporting on cam.
Came the camera and lighting crew of the ABS-CBN news team to his rescue.
On April 6, 2021, Raffy posted a selfie with the crew of ABS-CBN and wrote this caption,“Salamat Kapamilya sa offer na ilaw. [smile emoji].”

Raffy was one of the Kapuso people who openly supported ABS-CBN during the network's battle in Congress for franchise renewal in 2020.
On July 6, 2020, Raffy posted on Instagram a photo of ABS-CBN’s satellite tower as his way of showing solidarity with his colleagues in the Kapamilya network.
He wrote in the caption, “Respeto at suporta sa aking mga kapwa mamamahayag. Naway patuloy namin kayong makasama sa pagbabalita."
Raffy has been a reporter for GMA News and Public Affairs since 1998, and is currently an anchor of Gtv’s long-running noontime newscast Balitanghali.
He also appears as an anchor in 24 Oras: News Alert, the flash report version of GMA-7’s flagship newscast, 24 Oras.
