Before Giselle Sanchez and Tuesday Vargas became hit TV and movie comediennes, they were once proud students of the University of the Philippines' College of Mass Communication (UP CMC).
On February 2-4, Giselle and Tuesday return to their alma mater neither as students nor showbiz personalities but as philanthropists.
The two are set to perform in the Live A.I.D.S. Monologues, a benefit comedy show in support of the UP CMC Foundation. Live A.I.D.S. (Ang Istoryang Dinebelop ng Samaskom) is an annual comedy-variety show staged by the UP Samahan ng Mag-aaral sa Komunikasyon (UP SAMASKOM) since the 1980s.
For its 23rd installment, UP SAMASKOM redefines comedy as it presents LA23: The Live A.I.D.S. Monologues. This full stage production features the best of the best monologue artists UP SAMASKOM has produced through the years.
With performances by comediennes Tuesday, Renee Boy "Ate Glow" Facunla, Miro Valera of Stonefree, and seasoned Live A.I.D.S. performers Eugene Laudit, Apol Nuevas, and Bulak Legaspi, viewers are sure to experience Live A.I.D.S. like never before. This comedy-variety show is directed by ABS-CBN Global executive Ned Legaspi and hosted by stand-up comic Giselle.
For the past 22 years, UP SAMASKOM has been producing alumni that include noted showbiz personalities such as Raymond Lauchengco and Wency Cornejo; directors Laurenti Dyogi and Jeffrey Jeturian; as well as media practitioners Lei Alviz, Tina Panganiban-Perez, Riki Kwek, and Kim Atienza.
Enjoy a night full of witty punch lines, infectious laughter, and thrilling production numbers and be philanthropists in your own way.
