From giving away kabuhayan packages through its segment Juan for All, All for Juan, GMA-7 noontime show Eat Bulaga shifts to providing help where it is needed today.
On March 30, 2020, the show's producer, TAPE Inc., donated three 3D printers to University of Santo Tomas, which has been producing face shields for frontliners helping the country in its war against COVID-19.
The university expressed its gratitude via a Facebook post uploaded on that same day.
The caption read, "The University of Santo Tomas, through the Faculty of Engineering, received three brand-new Ultimaker 2+ 3D printers from the company producing the country’s longest-running noontime show, Eat Bulaga.
"The new printers, installed in the University earlier today, will augment UST’s efforts of producing visors for the face shields of frontliners.
"Maraming salamat, TAPE, Inc. at mga Dabarkads!"
In a post uploaded on March 27, UST showed volunteers from their Faculty of Engineering producing face shield visors with the use of six 3D printers.
Two of these were obtained through a grant from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Different sectors of the Thomasian community, such as its alumni association, has also been sending donations to support the completion and distribution of face shields.
These will be handed over to their beneficiaries including UST Hospital and Red Cross Rizal Chapter, among others.
