Remember when Heart Evangelista served as a MYX VJ when she was still a talent of ABS-CBN?
MYX is the music cable channel of ABS-CBN, which features popular and up-and-coming Kapamilya talents as their video jocks.
On February 16, Twitter user @oyCZAR posted a throwback photo of Heart together with other MYX VJs: Nikki Gil, Geoff Eigenmann, Luis Manzano, Karel Marquez, and Iya Villania.
The netizen wrote in the caption, "If you can't hear the song that goes with this pic then you're too young."
@oyCZAR was referring to the song "It's You, It's Me" by Kaskade, which was used as the background music of the plugs aired by MYX back then.
It was in 2002 when Heart first joined MYX as a VJ.
Heart used to read e-mail and snail mail sent by fans to the show titled CyberMYX.
Heart ended her stint as a MYX VJ in 2007, a year before she decided to transfer to GMA-7.
HEART EVANGELISTA: FROM KAPAMILYA TO KAPUSO
Heart started her career in 1999, as part of the youth-oriented series G-Mik, starring Camille Prats, Angelica Panganiban, Carlo Aquino, Stefano Mori, and John Prats.
It was the show that gave birth to her love team with John, which went on for several years.
Heart and John were able to do movies such as Trip (2001), Ang Tanging Ina (2003), and My First Romance (2003). They also top-billed another youth-oriented show, Berks, which ran from 2002 to 2004.
In 2004, Heart starred in her first prime-time series titled Hiram, wherein she shared top-billing with Kris Aquino, Dina Bonnevie, Anne Curtis, and Geoff Eigenmann.
In 2005, Heart played the leading lady of Jericho Rosales in the remake of Fernando Poe Jr.'s iconic movie Ang Panday. The series aired for two separate seasons, each having short-lived runs. During this time, she and Jericho also developed a real-life romance.
In 2007, Heart top-billed the remake of VIVA Films' movie, Hiram na Mukha. She also had a special participation in the prime-time series Pangarap na Bituin.
In 2008, Heart decided to transfer to GMA-7 and did several prime-time and afternoon shows.
She also hosted her own fashion-themed lifestyle show titled Fashionistas By Heart.
In 2017, Heart was able to work again with former MYX VJ Iya Villania in the prime-time series My Korean Jagiya.
In 2018, even though she is still a contract star of GMA-7, Heart made an appearance in the MYX Music Awards as a guest, where she reunited with Iya, Nikki Gil, and Luis Manzano. The event also reunited her with Erik Santos and Christian Bautista, who she worked with in ASAP Fanatic.
Heart's last TV project was the seventh season of StarStruck in 2019, where she was one of the judges.
Currently, Heart is being managed by GMA Artist Center. She signed a management contract in December 2018, more than 10 years since she transferred to GMA-7.
