“And then, the Taal Volcano erupted, making me realize that whatever we had encountered for the concert is so small compared to what the victims are going through.

“Given the magnitude of help required sa mga pangyayari, I chose to help by lending a hand and donating resources to friends and acquaintances living near the disaster area.

“This calamity, also the other ones happening around the world, is sending us a message.

“We should be better stewards and make our lives count for God’s glory.”

Si Marissa mismo ang producer ng My Fatty Valentine concert na gaganapin sa Pebrero 14, Biyernes, 9 p.m., sa Km. 19, East Service Road, Sucat, Muntinlupa City.

Lahad pa ng 50-year-old singer-comedienne, “I said to myself, this time, tulungan ko naman ang sarili ko. Kasi, I always live for other people.

“But it turns out, mas happy pa rin pala ako helping others than myself.”

MARISSA ON LOVE LIFE

“Noon, ako yung tipo ng tao who cannot live without romance,” pag-amin ni Marissa.

“To the point na ipagpapalit ko pa nga ang family over a guy.

“Para akong bakla pag na-in love. Ibibigay ang lahat-lahat.

"Pero pag umayaw ako, you will never like me."

Patuloy niya, “At present, I live with my true love—my one and only daughter who’s turning nine this year.

“I am determined to be single forever.

"After my two failed marriages, I just want to maintain my single blessedness by choice.

“Wala na rin akong nararamdaman, kasi I am diabetic. Alam na!

“If there comes a time when I’d be very lonely—maybe after my daughter gets married—I’d love to have a platonic relationship with someone na makakausap lagi, a companion maybe, or ‘hingahan’ pagkatapos ng buong araw, may kakuwentuhan ka.

“Someone smart, ideally!

"Matalino siyempre, so we’d talk about reality, meeting ends, God, the Bible, and other random things over a cup of coffee.

Take note, may trabaho. LOL!

“So, hindi relasyon ang hanap ko in the end. I think that will stand the test of time.”

“I am writing a book that will be released very soon under Viva,” saad ni Marissa.

“It will definitely have significance during these trying times, especially to those who have lost someone special in their lives.

“It may sound morbid, but evading conversations about death won’t make it any easier to recover.

“I want to leave a mark, and when I die, gusto ko, maraming tao sa lamay ko because I want to be remembered.

“I am not perfect, and I may be fake when the occassion calls for it, but my LOVE is as full as my BODY, and my heart is as big as ME.”
