Remember when Alex Gonzaga played Sarah Geronimo's best friend in a teleserye?
This happened in 2007 in the ABS-CBN teleserye Pangarap na Bituin.
In the musical-drama series, Alex portrayed Chorva Ayala, the childhood friend-turned-best friend of Emerald Gomez, portrayed by Sarah. The other lead stars of Pangarap na Bituin were Maja Salvador, Rica Peralejo, and Jericho Rosales.

Pangarap na Bituin was Alex's first teleserye after she entered showbiz via the weekly teen-oriented sitcom, Let's Go.
The episodes of Pangarap na Bituin are currently being uploaded online on ABS-CBN's YouTube channel.
When Alex visited the Summit Media/Kumu office last Tuesday, November 26, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) talked to Alex regarding her first teleserye.
She exclaimed, "Pangarap na Bituin! Ako si Chorva!"
Alex recalled that she had a lot of fond memories while doing that show, especially since it was in Pangarap na Bituin where she became close to Maja Salvador.
"Madami, kasi doon ko rin naging close si Maja.
"Yun ang first soap ko, marami akong naaalala with Jericho, with Ate Rica, na up to now, friends ko pa rin sila.
"Even Miss Rio Locsin na ngayon, kasama ko sa Home Sweetie Home.
"I think up to now, I can still consider them as my friends because of that show."
ALEX GONZAGA: FROM BEST FRIEND TO LEAD ACTRESS
After Pangarap na Bituin, Alex played another best friend role in 2008. This time, she was Kim Chiu's best friend in My Girl. She also worked with her in My Only Hope.
Alex also played the best friend of Kim in the movie I've Fallen For You in 2007.
But before My Girl, Alex already top-billed a four-part episode of Your Song titled "Without You," with Joross Gamboa and Victor Basa.
After My Only Hope, Alex transferred to TV5 and was given a lead role in the weekly series BFGF in 2010.
In 2011, Alex top-billed the drama series Babaeng Hampaslupa with Alice Dixson and Susan Roces. The series was a success because as TV5's first teleserye, the show ran for five months and registered good ratings.
The other shows that Alex headlined in TV5 were P.S. I Love You (2011-2012), which ran for thirteen weeks, and Enchanted Garden (2012-2013), which aired for six months.
In 2013, Alex returned to ABS-CBN and hosted The Voice Kids.
In 2014, Alex had a chance to top-bill a TV series as a Kapamilya, the early prime-time show Pure Love. It was a remake of a Koreanovela aired in ABS-CBN in 2011.
The series, which also featured Yen Santos, Joseph Marco, and Arjo Atayde, was a ratings winner that the Kapamilya network dubbed it that time as the "Newest Prime-time Sensation." The show ran for four months.
The following year, in 2015, Alex headlined the remake of Inday Bote, where she was paired with Matteo Guidicelli. However, the series only had a short run of 11 weeks.
As for movies, Alex was one of the leads of the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Buy Now, Die Later. She then headlined the 2016 romantic movie My Rebound Girl.
In 2018, Alex played the lead in the movie Nakalimutan Ko Na Kalimutan Ka, directed by her friend Fifth Solomon, and shared top-billing with sister Toni Gonzaga in the 2018 MMFF entry Mary, Marry Me.
In 2019, Alex is set to top-bill the movie Love The Way You Lie with Xian Lim.
