The first teaser for Carlo Aquino and Maine Mendoza's upcoming Black Sheep movie, Isa Pa With Feelings, was released yesterday, September 16, 2019.
Black Sheep is a film subsidiary of ABS-CBN Films, and the sister company of Star Cinema.
In the almost-two-minute teaser, the characters of Carlo and Maine were shown riding a similar elevator.
As narrated by Carlo's character, he tried to talk to Maine, but he was too shy to do it, until Maine said, "Excuse me." However, she also decided not to push through with the conversation.
Carlo's character later found out that he and Maine are neighbors.
The trailer then showed a montage of Carlo's daydream of him and Maine having sweet moments together, including a romantic dance.
The trailer later revealed that Carlo is deaf, and he was introduced to Maine as her sign language teacher.
Directed by Prime Cruz, the movie of Carlo and Maine will open in cinemas on October 16, 2019.
Isa Pa With Feelings is Maine's first project under an ABS-CBN company.
Among the GMA-7 actors who have ABS-CBN Films-produced projects this year were Dennis Trillo (for A Family Ghost Story under Star Cinema), Derek Ramsay (for the iWant original movie Mga Mata Sa Dilim, under ABS-CBN Films's CineBro), and Maine's GMA-7 love-team partner, Alden Richards.
Alden's Hello, Love, Goodbye, where he is paired with Kathryn Bernardo and produced by Star Cinema, has already earned P881 million in the box office.
Dennis's A Family Ghost Story, which he co-stars with Kadenang Ginto actress Beauty Gonzalez, has yet to be shown in cinemas.
