Filipino-American dancer Hannahlei Cabanilla emerged as the winner of the U.S. TV show So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD).
Hannahlei bested three other finalists in the fifteenth season: Jensen Arnold, Genessy Castillo, and Slavik Pustovoytov.
The finals night took place on September 10, U.S. time.
Prior to the announcement, it was revealed that the Hannahlei and Jensen had the closest difference in total votes in So You Think You Can Dance history.
For her prize, Hannahlei took home $250,000, as well as a magazine cover and a role in Fox's upcoming live broadcast of the Tony-winning musical Rent, which is scheduled on January 27, 2019.

The 18-year-old Fil-Am dancer, who hails from Anaheim Hills, was first praised by fellow Filipina and SYTYCD judge Vanessa Hudgens and the other three judges during the first performance of the season's Top 10.
In the same episode, Hannahlei was tagged by judge Nigel Lythgoe as the season's "warrior princess."
