Maine Mendoza took to Twitter to express her full support for perennial leading man Alden Richards, whose solo GMA-7 prime-time series Victor Magtanggol will start airing tonight, July 30.
Maine's short but sweet tweet was accompanied by a poster of Alden in his superhero costume.
Congratulations sa dream project, @aldenrichards02! You will always have my support. Best of luck and stay happy! ????#VictorMagtanggolAngSimula mamaya na pagkatapos ng 24 oras! pic.twitter.com/99mUyXUYrq

The Kapuso Dubsmash Queen made the statement amid AlDub fans' mixed reactions to her and Alden pursuing individual projects.
Maine is joining the cast of the 2018 Metro Manila Film Fest entry Jak Em Popoy: The Pulis Credibles, topbilled by Kapamilya actor Coco Martin and Kapuso actor Vic Sotto.
However, during the presscon of Victor Magtanggol last July 23, Alden clarified that his love team with Maine remains strong especially since they still co-host together in the Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga!
"Linawin ko lang po, wala pa pong nagtatapos na AlDub. Hindi pa po tapos ang AlDub," said Alden, referring to speculations that his love team with Maine is breaking up.
Alden also assured the fans and media alike that he has Maine's support to do a solo TV project.
“Parang, kami po kasi, ang take po namin ni Maine, as long as nagkakaintindihan po kami sa mga ginagawa namin, okey po kami."
While he is aware of the negative feedback about him and Maine pursuing individual projects, Alden maintained that he prefers to be grateful for AlDub fans who choose to support them no matter what.
"Yun po talaga ang tunay na supporters, na regardless of what were doing, kino-consider nila yung growth namin as individuals as a pair.
"Kumbaga, masaya sila sa individual projects namin and happier kung magkasama kami. Pero as long as may support sila sa amin, that's all that really matters po."
