Vice Ganda expressed his gratitude for everyone who supported his 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Gandarappido: The Revenger Squad.
The comedian top-bills this Star Cinema movie with Daniel Padilla and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
Through his Twitter account, Vice Ganda wrote on January 1, 2018, "400Million THANK YOUs mga ka-SQUAD!!!! Kaway kaway mga members ng #TeamHappy !!! Ravaaaan!!!"
Last December 29, the fifth day of MMFF 2017, Vice Ganda gave the update:
"300Million THANK YOUs ang nais kong iparating sa lhat ng Madlang People na nanuod ng #TheRevengerSquad sa nakalipas na 5 days. Hayabayabayu!"
It will be recalled that Vice Ganda previously joined MMFF 2015 via the entry Beauty and the Bestie. Back then, the It's Showtime host co-starred with Coco Martin.
According to Star Cinema, Beauty and the Bestie earned P428 million during the official run of MMFF 2015.
After several more weeks, ABS-CBN's film production outfit announced that Beauty and the Bestie grossed P526 million in the Philippine box-office.

ON "BASURA" COMMENT. Detractors have branded Vice Ganda movies as trash or "basura," a criticism that the comedian does not take lightly.
Even Direk Wenn Deramas, who previously helmed past MMFF movies of Vice Ganda, retaliated against this label.
The late director said back then about their MMFF 2013 entry Sisterakas being dubbed as "basura": "Ang basura ay mabaho, iniiwasan, hindi nilalapitan, nilalangaw. Nilangaw ba kami? Kami ba ang nilangaw?"
This 2017, Vice Ganda did not directly address the issue but he did retweet a Twitter post of a netizen.
User iam_g (using the handle @gggggaaaaa12) wrote in a Twitter post:
"FYI, hindi nakakatalino yung pagtawag nyo ng bobo at basura sa pelikula ng iba. Mas nakakatalino yung kaya mong rumespeto sa opinion at sa choice ng iba. Mababayaran ba ng talino mo ung happiness na naramdaman nila paglabas ng sinehan?"
The netizen posted this on December 27, 2017, the same day that MMFF 2017 held its awards night at the KIA Theater.
The Revenger Squad won the Full-length People's Choice Award in the 43rd edition of the annual film festival.
