To showcase its latest restoration project, ABS-CBN held a red carpet screening of Fernando Poe Jr. (FPJ) and Judy Ann Santos's 1999 movie Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko.
Several guests attended the screening, including Judy Ann, FPJ's wife Susan Roces, and FPJ's daughter Senator Grace Poe.
Coco Martin, who will be seen in the remake of FPJ's Ang Panday, also attended the screening.
Judy Ann's husband Ryan Agoncillo rushed straight from the Eat Bulaga! set to watch his wife's film, which is known to be the first to reach the P100 million mark in the box office.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the event, film restoration head Leo Katigbak revealed that one of the digitally-restored movies that will have a premiere is Judy Ann's 2006 film with Piolo Pascual titled Don't Give Up On Us.
Here are the photos of the screening held at SM North EDSA.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo were spotted taking a selfie during the red carpet screening of Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko.
Ryan rushed to SM North EDSA just to see the remastered version of this movie.
The Eat Bulaga host said that if it weren't a school day, they would have brought their kids Yohan, Lucho, and Luna to watch the film.
He revealed, "Kasi they barely have an idea that their mom is an actress. So it would be nice to show them that mom is a movie star. They only know mom as a host and then when they see on cable na may mga pelikulang pinapalabas, nagugulat sila. So it would be nice to show them this movie."

Meanwhile, Judy Ann felt nostalgia upon seeing stills and screenshots of her 1999 film with FPJ.
"Kumbaga, ang laking bagay pala talaga noon if you want to look back and remember this movie. Parang sana meron pa palang ganyan ngayon kasi ngayon, Insta Instagram na lang e, dun ka na lang magbabalik tanaw."

When PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke to film restoration head Leo Katigbak, he revealed that one of the digitally-restored movies that are lined-up to have a premiere is Judy Ann's 2006 film with Piolo Pascual, Don't Give Up On Us.
According to the young Superstar, she appreciates the efforts of ABS-CBN in restoring old movies to be seen by the future generation.
"Siguro hindi mo mapipigilan na kapag artista ka, you really get touched as well na it means a lot to me na some of my movies are being restored and makikita uli siya ng mga tao sa big screen kahit mga ilang araw.

Judy Ann also signed the restored version of Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko's poster before entering the cinema.
The 39-year-old actress also recalled her favorite scenes from the 1999 film.
"Ito pa lang ata yung pelikulang talagang sayaw! Sayaw to death sa Parks and Wildlife! Walang aayaw, basta pag sinabi ni Tatay Ron (FPJ) na sumayaw ka, sasayaw ako. Kakanta ka, kakanta ako! Tumalon ka sa basurahan ng truck, tatalon ako sa basurahan ng truck.
"Siguro ito na yata yung isa sa pinaka masasayang pelikulang nagawa ko kasi napakaprofessional ng lahat, napakasaya namin sa set and we were doing the movie because we wanted to do it, not because we had to do it. Now na ipapalabas ulit siya, I'm so proud."

When reporters caught up with Ryan and took a photo of him, he said with a laugh, "Dugyot dugyot pa ako!"
The Kapuso TV host rode his motorcycle from his Eat Bulaga! taping at Broadway Centrum to SM North EDSA.
According to Judy Ann's husband, he could not miss this movie which he will be seeing for the first time in full.
"I've seen parts of it on cable, kasi, di ba, nire-re-run siya sa cable, but this is the first time I'll see it na buong-buo."
-

Coco Martin, who is currently starring in the TV adaptation of FPJ's 1997 movie Ang Probinsyano, also attended the premiere.
According to him, he was able to watch the movie several times already.
What is his favorite part?
"Yung opening na binatukan si Judy Ann tapos binalikan nila FPJ dun sa palengke yung kalaban!"

FPJ's wife, Susan Roces, was all smiles when she faced the press before the screening.
The Queen of Philippine Cinema is very happy over the decision of ABS-CBN to restore the movies of her late husband.
"The whole family and I are very glad and thankful that this is being done for FPJ's films so that the youth will be able to see how it was during his time. I have nothing much to say except thank you."
The screening was held in time for the King of Action's birthday on August 20.
Asked about their future plans, Susan said, "We continue to take care of his works, my nephew Jeffrey Zamora is into restoring all the existing films owned by FPJ Productions. We hope to be able to keep these works in very good condition."

Senator Grace Poe also attended the screening.
According to her, some parts of the movie were based on her real-life relationship with her late dad, Fernando Poe Jr.
"Actually, may mga parte ng pelikula na base sa aming buhay kaya nga noong naisa pelikula ito, pag napapanuod ko hanggang ngayon, parang dedikasyon iyon ng tatay ko para sa akin."
-

Judy Ann and Senator Grace posed for a photo during the short program before the screening. They were also given a framed, updated poster of Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko.

Yassi Pressman, who is also a part of FPJ's Ang Probinsyano, attended the screening.
