Netizens were full of nostalgia when a sweet photo of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto became viral online.
Twitter user Elika Circa posted a photo of Joshua and Julia in each other’s arms, with Joshua planting a kiss on Julia’s forehead.
She tweeted, “I CAN SEE CLAUDINE BARRETTO AND RICO YAN.”
Netizens quickly tweeted their reactions, with some saying they felt the kilig they once had for Rico and Claudine back in the '90s.
Some even dubbed the love team of Joshua and Julia or JoshLia as the “millennial” version of the '90s loveteam of Rico and Claudine.
They were also side-by-side comparisons of the two loveteams.
Some Rico Yan-Claudine Barretto fans expressed hope that JoshLia will make a remake of the 1998 film Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita.
While Joshua has been dubbed as the next John Lloyd Cruz, some would argue that perhaps he’s the new Rico Yan.
