Lea Salonga tells netizens to stop bashing The Voice Teens contestants.
Isabella Vinzon posted screenshots of negative comments about her being chosen as one of the two semifinalists of Kamp Kawayan on her Twitter account on Sunday, July 16.
The daughter of actor Roi Vinzon denied netizens' accusations that she got special treatment on the ABS-CBN show. Isabella stressed that she went through the proper process of auditioning for The Voice Teens.
“Bilang isang anak, nasasaktan akong makita si mama na umiiyak dahil dito pumila po ako at nagpainit para makapag audition,” Lala (Isabella's nickname) said on her post.

This caught the attention of The Voice Teens coach Lea Salonga, who took to social media to defend the young aspiring singer.
The Broadway artist wrote, “Lala went through what all the teens went through, and if she didn't have what it takes, no one would've turned. We had no idea who she was.”
Lea further explained on her next post, “Merong mga artista o anak ng artista na nag-audition para sa The Voice. Kung hindi magaling, walang iikot. Ganoon kasimple. #StopTheHate.”
Lea's celebrity friends, Aga Muhlach and Iza Calzado, also showed support for Isabella.
Iza commented on Lea's post, “People can be so heartless nowadays! Sending Lala love and light!”
After learning about Lea's post, Aga wrote, “Bashers... susmaryosep!!! Go Lala!!!”

Lea took a screenshot of her conversation with Aga and shared it to Isabella through Twitter.
She told Roi's daughter, “Dear @VoiceTeensLala, thought you might get a kick out of this!”
