These actresses do not usually play lead roles in teleseryes.
In fact, most of their characters are often regarded as supporting roles to the leads.
However, their names became familiar because they are usually tapped to play a very important role in the story: as the mother of either the main character or the main kontrabida.
For this reason, they can be tagged as the "suking nanay" in TV shows.
As we celebrate Mother's Day, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) lists down 25 actresses who embody the first woman we love: our mothers.
