GMA-7 actor Gil Cuerva attends Piolo-Yen movie premiere; Erich Gonzales goes solo

Piolo Pascual, Yen Santos, and Raikko Mateo walked the red carpet together during the premiere night of their movie Northern Lights.

ABS-CBN actress Erich Gonzales was all smiles as she posed for photos during the red carpet screening.

It can be noticed that Erich went solo last night. It may be recalled that she and ex-boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga ended their relationship in February 2017.

My Love From The Star actor Gil Cuerva was present to support Piolo, who served as one of his mentors. It may be recalled that Piolo and Gil had dinner together, wherein the Ultimate Heartthrob gave the newbie some tips regarding show business.

Seen hugging at the backstage were Piolo and his son Iñigo.

Piolo and Iñigo are known to be very affectionate towards each other. Just recently, a video wherein the two were seen kissing each other on the lips became viral.

Iñigo also walked the red carpet alone. Piolo admitted that he can relate to the story of Northern Lights because his character Charlie met his son Charlie Jr. (Raikko) for the first time after seven years. In real life, it took Piolo some time before he could accept that Iñigo was his biological son.

This is the first time that Piolo shot a movie with Yen as his leading lady. Yen proudly shared during interviews that Northern Lights is her first movie ever.

Yen feels lucky to be paired with Piolo and she even got to shoot an intimate scene with the hunky actor!

Rumored real-life sweethearts Diego Loyzaga and Sofia Andres were together for the premiere night. The SofiEgo love team is set to be paired in their first teleserye titled Pusong Ligaw.

Gerald Anderson, who is known to be close to Piolo, also attended the screening.

Gerald was supposed to have Yen as his leading lady for the series Because You Loved Me. In fact, the two already shot scenes together in Mindoro.

However, it was announced that the Gerald-Yen project was shelved. Management then decided to bring back the Kimerald tandem by pairing Gerald with his ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu for the series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin.

Pinoy Big Brother Lucky 7 Fifth Big Placer Tanner Mata also attended the screening. Fans were heard screaming "Superman" when he walked the red carpet. During his stay in the PBB house, fans referred to him as a Superman look-alike.

PBB 737 love team Bailey May and Ylona Garcia, known as BaiLona, was seen together again during the premiere.

Currently, Ylona is part of ASAP's new girl group BFFs (stylized as BFF5 since it is composed of five girls). The other members of the singing group are Maris Racal, Loisa Andalio, Andrea Brillantes, and Kira Balinger.

Bailey is busy promoting his new single titled "Boom Goes My Heart," which is included in his self-titled debut album.

A Love To Last actress Iza Calzado showed support for her former leading man Piolo. Iza was able to work with Piolo in the movies Milan (2004), Starting Over Again (2013), and in the teleserye Hawak Kamay (2014).

Iza recently earned an international award when she won the Yakushi Pearl Award (Best Performer) in the Osaka Film Festival for her film Bliss.

Coleen Garcia also came to show support for her former co-stars Piolo and Yen.

Coleen and Yen worked with each other in the 2011 Sunday youth-oriented show Good Vibes. They were paired in the past with Sam Concepcion.

The young actress was one of Piolo's leading ladies in the 2016 movie Love Me Tomorrow. They formed a love triangle back then with Dawn Zulueta.

TV host Robi Domingo, who is often seen in Star Cinema movie premieres, also went solo at the red carpet.

It is a rare moment to see four prominent film personalities posing for a photo: (L-R) Regal Films producer Roselle Monteverde, Star Cinema creative head and film director Olivia Lamasan, Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde, and ABS-CBN Chief Content Officer Charo Santos-Concio.

Before she took on production positions in the Kapamilya network, Charo used to work for Regal Films.

Northern Lights is a co-production of Regal Films, Star Cinema, and Spring Films, which is co-owned by Piolo Pascual and Erickson Raymundo (not in photo).

Northern Lights director Dondon Santos is flanked by his stars in the film, Jerald Napoles and Anna Vicente. Jerald is a GMA-7 actor who is part of Sunday Pinasaya.

Piolo's friends director Bb. Joyce Bernal, Moi Bien, and Neil Arce.

Joem Bascon, who used to be referred to as a look-alike of Piolo, also came to the event.

Former FPJ's Ang Probinsyano star Pepe Herrera was also spotted at the premiere.

Langit Lupa star Jairus Aquino also graced the event.

Hashtags Tom Doromal (left) and Jameson Blake were among the guests last night. Jameson's indie film 2 Cool 2 Be 4gotten was recently distributed by Star Cinema for its mainstream release. For his portrayal of a disturbed young man, he won Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 Cinema One Originals Film Fest.

Hashtags member and PBB 737 Teen Big Winner Jimboy Martin was also at the red carpet premiere.
