Kris Aquino is officially returning to television.
The Queen of All Media posted on Instagram yesterday, March 2, a short video of her preparations for her taping.
She wrote, “I'm nervous for this new project, new journey, new team to work with, new places to explore- but I'm prepared because my new steps are being taken wearing beautiful shoes #FeelingCinderella VIDEO by @VIR.ph”
She also teased that she will be leaving Manila with the hashtag #TripNiKris. “Leaving now... #TripNiKris #BestOfThePhilippines”
Earlier today, March 3, she posted another short video of her arrival in The Harvest Hotel in Cabantuan City, Nueva Ecija.
The TV host mentioned her former co-workers in her previous ABS-CBN talk shows, mainly in Kris TV: business unit head Lui Andrada, production manager Jasmin Pallera, and head writer Darla Sauler.
She captioned her post, “I'm excited to roll- we arrived 1:30 AM- nahirapan matulog kasi kinakabahan.
“From my heart, moving forward w/o @luiandrada, @jasminip, and @darlasauler especially for a Travel themed special feels so strange, BUT "Life begins again at the end of your comfort zone." #TripNiKris”
It may be recalled that in the last few seasons of Kris TV, the talk show changed its format to a travel-lifestyle show.
Kris continued posting updates on her Instagram account where she is seen in Edna’s Cakeland.
Last March 1, the 46-year-old media personality first teased that she will have a TV comeback.
She hinted on Instagram, “FINALLY starting something NEW and celebrating with FAITH that my journey is taking me back to where I belong.”
Showbiz scribe Noel Ferrer reported in his March 3 column in Abante Tonite that according to sources, Kris will be a blocktimer in GMA-7 for this new TV program.
Ferrer's other source indicated that Kris’s program will start as a travelogue special in the timeslot of GMA-7’s late night Sunday Night Box Office, which currently features concerts and Hollywood films.
If Kris’s travelogue airs in the said timeslot, there is a big possibility that it will go head-to-head with Gandang Gabi Vice.
This would make Kris compete against her friend Vice Ganda, whom she calls “asawa.”
