Barcelona: A Love Untold, starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, has earned a total of P321 million pesos worldwide.
This was announced yesterday, November 25, during the victory party of Barcelona: A Love Untold organized by producer Star Cinema.
Barcelona served as KathNiel's movie offering for their fifth anniversary as a love team last August.
The whole team, including director Olivia M. Lamasan, went to Barcelona, Spain to shoot key scenes for the movie.
The film focused on Ely and Mia, two broken souls who found solace from each other in Spain while in the process of healing wounds from past mistakes.
Barcelona also marked the first time that Kathryn and Daniel did a kissing scene for a project.
After the movie's success, the two are expected to pair again for another movie in 2017.
They will be reunited with their Crazy Beautiful You director Mae Czarina Cruz-Alviar.
Kathniel already did their look test and story conference for this upcoming movie last Sunday, November 19.
According to Direk Mae, the movie will have a light approach this time.
The KathNiel tandem will also topbill the upcoming series La Luna Sangre in 2017, which serves as the third installment of the Lobo series that featured Angel Locsin.
La Luna Sangre serves as the sequel to Imortal where Kathryn will play the grown-up daughter of Lia (Angel) and Mateo (John Lloyd Cruz).
