Last September 18, the 33-year-old singer did a cover of Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day" with other X Factor hopefuls Mike Hough and Lascel Wood.
The judges—Simon Cowell, Louis Walsch, Nicole Scherzinger, and Sharon Osbourne—were definitely impressed by Ivy'd effortless vocals.
After their performance, Louis told his fellow judges, "I love Ivy! I just love her!"
Meanwhile, Sharon can be heard saying, "She's just effortless!" The 63-year-old English TV host continued and told the group, "Okay, we're gonna see you tomorrow!"
Simon added, "It was just a great, great performance."
Ivy was included in Room A and was one of the first to receive the good news straight from the judges.
FORCED TO QUIT? However, Ivy's achievement came with bad news.
According to a report by TheSun.co.uk, Ivy secured a spot in the Six Seat Challenge for the Overs category handled by Sharon Osbourne, allowing her to move on to the Judges' Houses round that will be held in the United States.
However, the Bukidnon native had to withdraw from the competition because she failed to secure a U.S. visa. The Six Seat Challenge is scheduled to air next weekend.
An anonymous source told the British tabloid newspaper, "Ivy was a real hope for the judges after her audition but her dreams are in tatters. She was point blank refused the visa. X Factor tried their best to help, but ran out of time. There has been talk of a past issue causing problems but no one but Ivy knows the reason."
A different unnamed X Factor insider added, "There was an issue with her application being approved. That meant she was not granted a visa in time and sadly had to withdraw from the competition."
Given this situation, some of her fans have requested the judges to pick Ivy as the wildcard contestant.
