Karla Estrada is overjoyed upon learning the news that her sitcom Funny Ka, Pare Ko will now enter its second season.
Yesterday, July 25, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other media reporters were able to interview Karla on the set of her sitcom that airs on CineMo channel of SkyCable and ABS-CBN TV Plus.
She said, "Nakakagulat, kasi like in-announce sa amin na may second season, hindi kami makapaniwala.
"Pero kasi doon sa slot namin na yun, sa CineMo sa Sky Cable at sa ABS-CBN TV Plus, at sa slot namin na yun na Sunday, di mo naman na ine-expect na bobongga yung rating di ba, kaya ayan."
Aside from Karla, the sitcom also stars Bayani Agbayani and Jason Gainza. Miho Nishida and Tommy Esguerra (ToMiho) are now also part of the cast.
The 39-year-old actress TV-host then revealed that her son Daniel Padilla will be a guest on the said sitcom, which she personally requested.
She said, "I think sa last day namin ng second season [siya lalabas].
"Hindi kasi masingitan ng schedule dahil patuloy na nagsho-shooting ngayon, e. From Barcelona na umuwi sila dito."
Daniel is currently shooting with rumored girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo for a new movie directed by Olivia Lamasan.
The movie required the KathNiel tandem to shoot scenes in Barcelona, Spain last June.

Karla also posted a photo of her son's new hairstyle on her Instagram account.
Karla seemed to like DJ's (Daniel's nickname) new hair according to her caption.
When asked to comment about Daniel's new hair, she said, "Nag-mama."
Karla added that DJ's new hairstyle is also for the his upcoming movie.
She explained, "In preparation na yun for the movie, kasi papunta na doon, e.
"Para may bago, and paghahandaan mo lagi yung magagandang roles para pa-mature ng pa-mature.
"Si Daniel nag-iisip niyan, hindi ako."
