Pinoy Big Brother 737 Teen Big Winner Jimboy Martin joins Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona in their upcoming drama series Born For You.
This is based on photos posted by ABS-CBN drama unit Dreamscape (@dreamscapeph), which produces the upcoming teleserye.
Yesterday, May 19, Janella, Elmo, and Jimboy had a pictorial for this new ABS-CBN show.
It was previously announced during the January story conference that Joshua Garcia would serve as the third wheel in the Elmo-Janella project but he was not present during the pictorial.
The series serves as Jimboy's first foray in doing teleseryes. It has yet to be divulged, though, if Jimboy will figure in a love triangle with Elmo and Janella.
Currently, Jimboy is part of It's Showtime's all-male dance group #Hashtags.
Other cast members include Ariel Rivera (who is currently seen in the afternoon series Doble Kara) and Ayen Munji-Laurel who is doing her first teleserye on ABS-CBN.
Katya Santos, Smokey Manaloto and veteran actress Gina Pareno are also part of the series.
Born For You marks Gina's return to the Kapamilya Network, after starring in GMA-7's 2015 drama series Let The Love Begin.
Also present at the pictorial were cast members Joj Agpangan, Alfred Alain, Neil Coleta, and Young JV, who play supporting roles as friends of the lead characters.
Last May 18, the first teaser of the show was aired on TV, introducing the concept of Japan’s red string of fate, which was previously explained in the teleserye’s trade trailer shown last December.
According to the teaser, Born For You will air starting this June but it did not disclose if it will be an afternoon show or a primetime program.
Last March, Janella, Elmo, and the other cast members went to Japan to tape scenes for the show.
Born For You is directed by Onat Diaz, whose works included Bagito (2014) and And I Love You So (2015).
