The MMFF 2015 awards night became a platform for protest to the recent disqualification of Honor Thy Father.
The Gabi ng Parangal of the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival was held last night, December 27, at the KIA Theatre, Araneta Center in Quezon City.
My Bebe Love: My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore, Beauty and the Bestie, All You Need is Pag-ibig, Haunted Mansion, Honor Thy Father, Buy Now Die Later, Walang Forever, and Nilalang were the eight official entries in MMFF 2015.
However, a day before the awards night, the MMFF Executive Committee disqualified Honor Thy Father from the Best Picture category. This grade-A movie was topbilled by John Lloyd Cruz and directed by Erik Matti.
Walang Forever won the most number of awards: a total of 6 including Best Picture, Best Actor, and Actress.
