The Miss Universe Organization (MOU) has refuted claims that Thai billionaire Anne Jakrajutatip has already resigned from her role as chief executive officer (CEO).

An official statement is released on its website on Saturday, June 7, 2025, addressing the "unfounded rumors" and clarifying the "current status of its executive leadership."
It reads: "We categorically deny any reports suggesting a change in leadership within the organization.
"Anne Jakrajutatip remains the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Miss Universe Organization, and Raúl Rocha continues to serve as President.
"There have been no modifications to our executive structure.
"These rumors are entirely false and do not reflect the internal operations or direction of our organization.
"Under the continued leadership of Ms. Jakrajutatip and Mr. Rocha, the Miss Universe Organization remains committed to its mission of empowering women worldwide and producing a global platform for voices of ambition, purpose, and change.
"We encourage the public and media partners to refer exclusively to our verified and official communication channels for accurate information."
Rumors about Anne stepping down as CEO of MUO started swirling on June 6, 2025, after she resigned from her executive and board roles at JKN Global Group.
Her resignation came in the wake of charges filed by Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) over alleged financial fraud.

Anne Jakrajutatip began running the pageant in October 2022 after her company, JKN Global Group, acquired it for USD20 million.
In January 2024, Raúl Rocha Cantú joined as co-owner and president.
According to reports, Raúl obtained a 50% stake in the Miss Universe Organization through his company, Legacy Holding Group USA Inc.
He then established a joint venture with JKN Global Group named JKN Legacy Inc., making him a co-owner alongside Anne.
Meanwhile, Miss Grand International founder Nawat Itsaragrisil was appointed executive director of the MUO after acquiring the franchise to stage the Miss Universe Thailand pageant in April 2025.
The 74th Miss Universe pageant is slated for November 21, 2025, in Thailand.
Contestants will participate in a month-long series of events held across Bangkok, Pattaya, and Phuket.
