The Los Angeles wildfire has turned dreams into nightmares, tearing through the hills and claiming homes—celebrity mansions included.

In a city where stars shine brightest, many now face the same loss as their neighbors.

From historic estates to modern marvels, some of Hollywood’s most iconic properties have been reduced to rubble.

Here are some of the LA elite whose houses have damaged by the wildfire.

ANTHONY HOPKINS

Located in: Pacific Palisades

Movie star Anthony Hopkins revealed on Friday, January 10, 2025, that he also lost his home to the LA wildfires.

Posting on Instagram, the award-winning actor said, “As we all struggle to heal from the devastation of these fires, it's important we remember that the only thing we take with us is the love we give.”

The wildfires have flattened Anthony’s $6 million four-bedroom home, which he purchased in 2021. Only a scorched fence was left on the property.

This was not the first time that the 87-year-old actor experienced fire incidents.

In 2018, his house in Malibu narrowly-escaped the Woolsey Fire disaster, which claimed his neighbor’s house. Anthony has since sold the $11.5 million property.

In 2000, his London home was burned by another fire, while he was in Los Angeles.

Anthony is best known for The Silence of the Lambs, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor in 1992.

MEL GIBSON

Located in: Malibu

On January 9, actor Mel Gibson was in Texas filming a podcast as his house was burning in Malibu.

In fact, the 69-year-old actor told Joe Rogan, the host of the podcast, that his house might already have been burned after they finish taping.

“I will be surprised if my home is still there,” said the actor known for Braveheart.

Photos show that Mel’s house, which he has lived in for 15 years, has been reduced to rubble.

MILES TELLER

Located in: Pacific Palisades

Miles Teller is another high-profile award-winning actor that lost his LA home to the wildfires.

The Top Gun: Maverick actor lost his $7.5 million home, which he bought for his wife Keleigh Sperry Teller, in 2023.

Keleigh, a close friend of Taylor Swift, posted on Instagram a photo of the three-story mansion before it burned down.

“To everyone reaching out I can’t thank you enough, your kind hearts have meant the world, I’ll never forget them,” she said.

EUGENE LEVY

Located in: Pacific Palisades

Comedic actor Eugene Levy’s two-storey, three-bedroom home in the Pacific Palisades also fell victim to the wildfires.

Photos show that only a concrete pillar is left standing in the middle of the $3.9 million property.

The Schitt’s Creek actor, who has been serving as the honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades since 2021, evacuated the area before the fire extinguished his house.

“I couldn’t see any flames but the smoke was very dark,” the 78–year-old actor told LA Times in an interview while evacuating.

RICKI LAKE

Located in: Malibu

Ricki Lake is another celebrity Malibu resident that was devastated by the LA wildfires.

On Instagram on January 9, the actress and TV host announced that they have lost their dream home.

“I grieve along with all of those suffering during this apocalyptic event,” said 56-year-old star known for starring in Hairspray.

Ricki married her husband Ross in the mansion three years ago.

The two tried to save their house but chose to evacuate in the end.

Aerial photos show the house, which previously cost $3 million, flattened and in ashes.

ANNA FARIS

Located in: Pacific Palisades

Anna Faris is another Hollywood celebrity who lost her home in the Pacific Palisades.

The Scary Movie actress bought the $4.9 million mansion in 2018, after her divorce from Marvel star Chris Pratt.

Photos show that Anna’s house has been completely flattened.

“Anna and her family are safe and grateful,” a representative for the 48-year-old actress told the press.

BILLY CRYSTAL

Located in: Pacific Palisades

“Every inch of our house was filled with love. Beautiful memories that can't be taken away.”

This was the statement released by actor Billy Crystal as news of the destruction of his Pacific Palisades home hit the press.

The 76-year-old actor, known for his roles in Saturday Night Live and Monsters Inc., has lived in the property for 46 years.

Photos show that the house has been reduced to rubble.

“We are heartbroken of course but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this,” Billy added.

JOHN GOODMAN

Located in: Pacific Palisades

Another celebrity Pacific Palisades resident is John Goodman, whose $4.6 million property also burned down.

Photos show that the property has been reduced to ashes.

John, known for Roseanne and 10 Cloverfield Lane, has lived in the neighborhood since 2008.

JENNIFER GREY

Located in: Pacific Palisades

On January 11, Dirty Dancing star Jennifer Grey posted on Instagram a photo of her flattened house in the Pacific Palisades.

“This feels like one messed up dream. But it’s not a dream.

"It’s one of those things where life suddenly jumps a track and you’re propelled into a different story.

"I am trying to allow myself to feel the waves of shock, the startling grief, the sudden unavoidable new now that I never wanted,” captioned the 64-year-old actress.

Jennifer is said to be filming a sequel to the iconic Dirty Dancing film, to be released this year.

JOAN RIVERS

Located in: Pacific Palisades

Melissa Rivers told CNN in an interview that she was able to save the Emmy Award trophy of her mom Joan Rivers before their house burned down in the Pacific Palisades.

“To be 100 percent honest, I grabbed my mom’s Emmy, a photo of my dad and a drawing that my mother had done of me and my son,” said Melissa, daughter of the award-winning TV host.

Joan passed away in 2014, at the age of 81.

Melissa bought the Pacific Palisades property for $7.7 million in 2021.

ADAM BRODY AND LEIGHTON MEESTER

Located in: Pacific Palisades

Celebrity couple Adam Brody and Leighton Meester also lost their family home in the Pacific Palisades.

Photos show dark smoke as the couple’s $6.5 million five-bedroom property burned down in the wildfires.

The actors known for The O.C. and Gossip Girl, respectfully, still haven’t given a statement about the tragedy.

The two have two children together.

PARIS HILTON

Located in: Malibu

Hotel heiress and reality show star Paris Hilton is heartbroken about her beachfront property in Malibu that has been engulfed by the fire.

“When I first saw the news, I was in complete shock—I couldn’t process it. But now, standing here and seeing it with my own eyes, it feels like my heart has shattered into a million pieces,” she said on Instagram.

Only a few walls are left standing on her two-story house, that’s estimated to have cost $8.4 million.

MANDY MOORE

Located in: Altadena

Mandy Moore’s main house have been spared by the fire, but her garage, music studio and back house have been flattened.

The singer also mentioned on Instagram that her relatives, who live on the same street as her, lost all their homes.

“Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in laws. My brother and sister in law- 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivors guilt,” said the This is Us star.

Mandy then shared a GoFundMe page to help her relatives, but she received backlash for it. Critics said she should just donate the money herself.

“And people questioning whether we’re helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic,” Mandy answered on Instagram.

“We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. no one is forcing you to do anything.”

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag is another celebrity couple dealing with the wildfire tragedy.

The reality show stars, known for The Hills and Celebrity Big Brother, told their TikTok followers that the devastation was a “nightmare come true.”

Spencer and Heidi tried to save their Pacific Palisades home before giving up and evacuating from harm with their two children.

MILO VENTIMIGLIA

Located in: Malibu

Milo Ventimiglia held back tears while in an interview with CBS Evening News.

The Heroes and This is Us actor brought a CBS report to his home in Malibu, which has been flattened by the fires.

Milo was teary-eyed as he mentioned that he had just set a nursery in the house, because his wife Jarah Mariano is due to give birth any day now.

“You started to think about all the memories in different parts of the house and whatnot and when you see your neighbour’s houses and everything kind of around, your heart just breaks,” the 47-year old actor said.

JEFF BRIDGES

Located in: Malibu

A representative of Jeff Bridges confirmed to the press on Thursday, January 9, that the actor has also lost his family home in Malibu.

Jeff inherited the four-bedroom beachfront home from his late parents.

Reports say that the True Grit actor does not live in the property. Instead, it is being rented by another family.

The 75-year-old Oscar winner instead lives in Santa Barbara.

TINA KNOWLES

Tina Knowles also lost her property in Malibu.

Tina, mother of pop megastar Beyoncé, shared her sadness on Instagram.

“It was my favorite place, my sanctuary , my sacred Happy Place. Now it is gone!” Tina said on her post on January 11.

The 71-year-old celebrity brought the waterfront bungalow property for $8.4 million in 2021.
