Sakay ng Spirit Airlines, bibiyahe sila mula Los Angeles International Airport papuntang New Orleans noong October 5, 2024.

“We were wearing crop tops like this, it’s like a little bit of stomach showing,” lahad ni Tara sa interview ng ABC7, October 7, 2024.

“And a male flight attendant came up to us and aggressively said, mumbled, ‘Put something on!’ And then walked away.”

THREE WOMEN KICKED OFF FLIGHT

“He was telling both of us to put our sweaters and then we’re like, ‘Oh, is there a dress code? Is there a policy that says we can’t wear crop top on the plane?’” sagot daw ni Tara.

“It was very hot, so everybody had their sweaters off,” ani Carla.

Nagbitiw raw ng ganitong pahayag si Carla: “I said, ‘Well, if your body is inappropriate, then so is mine. Because I also have crop top under my sweater.’

“And I took my sweater off.”

Pagpapatuloy pa ni Carla kina Tara at Teresa, “So if they’re kicking you out the flight, then they’re also gonna have to kick me and my toddler off.”

Sabi ni Teresa, “We were kinda embarrassed as well, because we felt we were being jaded.

“We looked like criminals… everyone on the plane was looking at us.”

Pagsang-ayon ni Tara, “They were treating us, honestly, like criminals. All because we were wearing a crop top on the flight.”

AIRLINE REACTS TO ISSUE

Sabi ng airline sa ABC7, “Our Contract of Carriage, a document all Guests agree to upon making a reservation with us, includes certain clothing standards for all Guests traveling with us.”

Sa Conduct/condition na nakasaad sa 4.3 section, sinasabi rito na, “A guest shall not be permitted to board the aircraft or may be required to leave an aircraft if the guest... is barefoot or inadequately clothed, or whose clothing is lewd, obscene, or offensive in nature.”

Dagdag pa, “If a guest is not permitted to board and/or required to leave an aircraft for safety and/or regulatory reasons under paragraph 4.3 and its sub-sections, the guest will not be eligible for a refund.”
