WHAT THE INVESTIGATION reveals

Report ng The Asahi Shimbun, ito raw ang sinabi ng piloto sa Tokyo police, “the back of [the coast guard plane] suddenly caught fire."

The aircraft exploded on the runway. I escaped. I don’t know about the other crew members.”

Sinabi rin ng coast guard na ipinaliwanag sa kanila ng piloto na “[the pilot] obtained permission to enter the runway and then entered the runway.”

Ang sabi ng ministry official, “As far as we can see from the records, no permission was given to the Coast Guard aircraft to enter the runway.”
