Tuluyan nang kumalas sa K-pop group na NCT at Chinese subunit nitong WayV ang K-pop singer-rapper na si Huang Xuxi o mas kilala sa kanyang stage name na Lucas Wong, 24.

Ayon sa SM Entertainment, matapos ang mahabang diskusyon, napagdesisyunan nilang tanggapin na ang kagustuhan ni Lucas na kumalas sa grupo para mag-solo.

“LUCAS is planning on showing his performances through a whole variety of individual works from now on.
“Once again, we sincerely appreciate lavished love and support from all the fans and ask for your continuous support and interest in the future.”
Lucas Wong Confirms departure from NCT, WayV

"Today, I have an important announcement to share with you.
"After much deliberation and reflection, I have made the difficult decision to part ways with the group NCT and WayV.
"I sincerely feel sorry for the members, and it is with a heavy heart that I leave behind a long-standing friendship.
"It has been nearly 8 years since I first joined the members, and I am deeply grateful for their care and support.
"I will cherish these memories and never forget.
"I hope that the members will remember me as Huang Xuxi, not just Lucas.
"I genuinely love them and will always support them from the bottom of my heart."
Dagdag pa niya, "It took considerable time for me to reach this decision, and I believe this is the right decision for the good of all."
Sa huli, nagpasalamat si Lucas sa kanyang fans na patuloy na sumusuporta at nagmamahal sa kanya.
Nangako rin siyang mas gagalingan pa niya "to become a more mature Huang Xuxi and an even better Lucas."

Noong March 2018 nang mag-debut bilang miyembro ng NCT si Lucas.
August 2021, pansamantala siyang nawala sa limelight matapos niyang masangkot sa ilang kontrobersiya na may kinalaman sa diumano'y panloloko at pangga-gaslight niya sa dati niyang kasintahan.
