Robin Padilla, 53, made an appreciation post for wife Mariel Rodriguez, 33, for going the extra mile with the way she takes good care of his mom, Eva Cariño-Padilla.
According to Robin, his mom was moved to tears because of Mariel’s loving gesture when the two ladies saw each other at a family gathering last weekend.
On his Instagram post today, February 21, the Pilipinas Got Talent judge elaborated, “Tinawagan ako ng Ermats ko kahapon ng tanghali at siya'y umiiyak. nabigla ako at ninierbios.
“pero wala naman pala emergency kundi gusto daw niya malaman ko na love na love daw niya ang asawa ko.
“kasi nong pumunta sila sa birthday party ng aking auntie letty, inabutan daw si ermats ng pag-ihi pero naurungan daw siya kahit sasabog na ang kanyang pantog dahil parang marumi na ang toilet sa dami ng bisita na gumamit nito.
“pero kagyat daw siyang sinamahan ni mariel sa cr at nilinis ang cr pati ang toilet bowl na nilagyan ng tissue ang bawat inches ng uupuan niya.”
What Mariel did, without a doubt, only endeared her more to Robin’s heart.
As the actor put it, “Maraming salamat sa iyo @marieltpadilla ang iyong kagandahan ay nagmumula sa iyong puso bago sa iyong panlabas na anyo.”
LOVING STEPMOM. Previously, Robin's daughter Kylie Padilla also thanked Mariel for being a supportive stepmom.
In an exclusive interview with Smart Parenting last June 2017, Kylie turned emotional as she talked about how Mariel guided her when she was pregnant with her first child with partner Aljur Abrenica.
“Hindi ko in-expect na my stepmother would be the step-in mother.
"She organizes my baby shower. She texts me every day, 'How are you? Take this lesson. You have to have this when you're pregnant.'
"So, parang life got so much easier. And she's doing this while she is a mother to her kid din.
"Kakaiba din yung love niya sa akin. 'Thank you, Tita!'"
