Today, September 25, starlet Ellen Adarna posted an Instagram message alluding to her feelings for matinee idol John Lloyd Cruz.
The quote card read: “I'll never clip your wings baby.
“If you want to fly then spread your wings and fly.
“I don't love to take ownership. I love to connect.”
Ellen, 29, made this statement a day after John Lloyd, 34, acknowledged how much she means to him.
For the past three weeks, the two have kept fans guessing about the real score between them with Instagram posts showing their pictures hugging, kissing, and holding hands.
Even Gretchen Barretto left a comment on Ellen’s latest Instagram post.
The 47-year-old actress, who was last seen with John Lloyd in the 2014 movie The Trial, wrote: "It is lovely & beautiful to see both so in love"
Last Friday, September 22, Leyte Fourth District Representative Lucy Torres-Gomez also took note of Ellen’s much-speculated-on love life.
The 42-year-old Lucy, who has roots in Cebu on her mother's side, said in Cebuano, Ellen's original language: "Gamita na ang kandila. Romansa is alive and live!" (Translation: Use the candle already. Romance is alive and live!)
Ellen’s last high-profile relationship was with presidential son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte, who has a child with a woman he escorted to the inauguration rites of his father.
Late last year, in November 2016, Ellen and Baste, both 29, made headlines after a photograph of them kissing leaked via Instagram.
But after the photograph had alluded to what they were to each other, the two dodged queries about whether or not they were in a relationship.
By the time the actress finally admitted they were boyfriend-girlfriend for “seven to eight months,” she and Baste were no longer a couple.
Speaking to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Ellen revealed that it was sometime in December 2016 that Baste broke up with her via SMS.
The same pattern is emerging with Ellen and John Lloyd. After their sweet vacation photographs, not to mention videos, were leaked on social media, she and John Lloyd have not admitted to anything outright.
Essentially, it's been hints and allusions—but as the days pass, their Instagram posts indicate more and more that the hints and allusions are firming up.
