Kapuso young actress Gabbi Garcia couldn't help but answer a netizen on Twitter who seemed to question why GMA Artist Center, the talent arm of Kapuso network, keeps on promoting her showbiz commitments online.
The Twitter user, with a handle name @VanbieTitas, wrote on July 12: "@GMA @ArtistCenter kung makapag update kay @_gabbigarcia feeling nila Superstar. Ano ba project niya na Sumikat? Enca is not her solo Proj."
Encantadia was the 2016 remake of the 2005 iconic telefantasya of GMA Network; wherein Gabbi played one of the four Sang'gres, along with Glaiza de Castro, Sanya Lopez, and Kylie Padilla.
Gabbi retweeted the said status, to which she replied, "sorry naman daw po hehe [blushing face]."
A week later, the young Kapuso actress shed light to this simple yet meaningful status.
Gabbi told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "I saw the whole thread. I read everything."
In defense to her management, the 18-year-old actress emphasized, "GMA has their artists and they will support their artists no matter what.
"And right now, I have so many activities, I have so many shoots.
"Of course, they will promote all my shoots, di ba?"
BARBIE FORTEZA. Gabbi also denied that she has been receiving special treatment from GMA Artist Center and the network itself.
"Wala naman siguro."
She added, "Like, yung nang-bash kasi sa 'kin, it’s fans of Barbie [Forteza] ata.
"Barbie is a nominee for Gawad Urian. And GMA supports her.
"Like ako, I look up to her on getting that nomination."
She and Barbie are co-artists in GMA's Sunday noontime comedy-variety show Sunday PinaSaya.
Asked whether there's a competition between them, the former Encantadia star simply said no and noted that they have different fortes.
"We all have parang our timing and all.
"Barbie is a super great actress."
Gabbi joined the members of the press earlier today, July 21, 2017, for a pocket interview that took place at Puradak Chicken restaurant, in Quezon City.
BASHERS. Admittedly, Gabbi said she learned to handle her bashers through time.
"Siyempre nandoon naman tayo sa point nahe-hurt tayo before.
"Ako talaga, I was very affected noong nag-i-start pa lang ako."
But through the help of the people around her, "mas nase-secure ka na sa sarili mo."
Through knowing "what you can do as a person and as an artist," Gabbi said, "dumating din yung point na nai-ignore ko na din sila.
"I trust myself more than them."
She added, "But if they go below the belt, I would definitely say something.
"Not naman attacking, but I would not allow naman to crash me."
Meanwhile, rumor has it that people who are closely working with Gabbi are having troubles about her attitude.
Asked about this, she simply told the reporters, "Yun naman yung always na nangyayari in the industry. They always say something about you.
"Every time they see you or every time you do something, they will always and always say something about you."
But, Gabbi added, "As long as I am really assured and secured, and my closest friends, parents, and my manager tells me na I’m still okay, na I didn’t change, that I’m still the same Gabbi, parang the opinions of others don’t really matter anymore."
