Inamin ni Enrique Gil na hindi siya pabor na magsuot ng “super revealing” Darna costume ang napapabalitang girlfriend niyang si Liza Soberano.
Kaugnay ito ng pagbibidahan ni Liza na pelikulang hango mula sa komiks ni Mars Ravelo tungkol sa sikat na Pinoy superheroine.
“Two-piece nga na super revealing,” pagtukoy ni Enrique sa trademark costume ni Darna na pulang two-piece swimsuit.

Pero patuloy ng aktor, sa gagawing bersyon ni Liza, “Parang they might change it a little bit, because it's supposed to be armor right?
“You can’t go into battle with your underwear. So it’s kind of weird, but that's how Darna was.
“So, I hope, maybe, it changes a little bit.”
Base ito sa panayam ng ABS-CBN reporter na si MJ Felipe kay Enrique na umere sa TV Patrol noong Martes, Hunyo 20.
Gayunman, sumang-ayon si Enrique sa tanong kung “very supportive boyfriend” siya sa pagda-diet at pagwu-workout ni Liza.
Nakangiting sabi ng binata, “Uhuh. Actually, it’s easier to work out with somebody there.”
Tugma ito sa naunang ulat ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) kung saan nabanggit ni Liza na hindi raw akalain ni Enrique na siya ang mapipiling Darna.
“He didn’t think that it was going to be me.
“Because, sabi niya, baby pa daw ako, so imposibleng magtu-two piece ako and stuff like that.
“But when he found out, he was supportive naman. He said, kaya ko ‘yan.
“And now, sinasamahan din niya ako sa pagwu-workout.”
