Kylie Verzosa is one of the beauty queens who will relinquish their crowns tonight, April 30, at the Binibining Pilipinas 2017 grand coronation night at the SMART Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
Hours before the grand event, Kylie reminisced about her Binibining Pilipinas journey on Instagram.
In a collage of her competition highlights, Kylie said that she could hardly believe that a year had already passed since that fateful day.
The reigning Miss International also reflected upon the grand responsibility of being a beauty queen.
She related, "The real challenge for us queens is to ensure that pageants remain relevant to women and society today.
"I have tried my best to be a well-spoken representative of the Philippine people to embody our values of strength and hardwork and spread awareness of the things that matter the most."
Kylie then expressed her gratitude to those who had been a part of her year-long journey.
"Thank you to my family for being my rock, friends and mentors, especially to my Angels.
"Thank you!"
Kylie signed off with her final farewell to the crown, "It was my pleasure competing for the Philippines, I was happy to be your Miss Philippines.
"For now, I have to bid the Philippine crown a big thank you and goodbye, to the next queen, enjoy! And continue the legacy of the PH."
