Now that she is with ABS-CBN, Bianca King feels she is starting her showbiz career all over again.
The long-time GMA-7 and recent TV5 talent said, “I’m excited. Parang second wind siya for me.
“Kasi nga I thought my time in showbiz is over.
“But I’m very thankful na hinanap ako ng Star Creatives para sa project na ito.
“So, parang nag-uumpisa ako ulit.
“Kasi parang my mindset nga was like maganda yung experience ko sa showbiz, ngayon it’s time to try something else.
“Parang yun ang nasa isip ko,” Bianca told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at the grand presscon of Pusong Ligaw, which was held at the Dolphy Theater last Wednesday, April 19.
TRAVELS. Bianca admitted to thinking that her showbiz career was finished because no offers came in after her shows on TV5 ended more than a year ago.
What did she occupy herself with during the hiatus?
She said, “Akala ko talaga wala na akong career, sa totoo lang.
“Dumating na ako sa point na, ‘Okay, I have to find something else to do with my life.’
“Nung nasa TV5 ako ng dalawang taon, mahal na mahal ko yung mga show ko doon, and yung show ko doon casualty siya nung nangyari sa TV5.
“So, bigla akong nawalan ng show.
“Kinuha ko yung time na iyon para mag-travel.
“Hindi ko kasi siya nagagawa dati kasi nag-aaral ako at ang dami kong ibang priorities before na hindi ko na-enjoy yung youth ko.
“So, sa isang year na iyon, nag-travel ako out-of-the-country halos every month.
“Yung interesting story diyan, kasi meron akong blog before pa.
“Yung blog ko before para sa recipes ko lang siya, and then naisip ko gawin ko kaya siyang travel blog.
“So, a lot of the destinations I went to in that one year were all sponsored trips.
“Pati yung pagpunta ko ng Europe, Bali, Korea, they were all because of my blog.
“Nagsulat ako for my blog and for publications as well.
“And naghu-host pa rin ako ng mga live events.”
HAPPY TO BE KAPAMILYA. But even with a full schedule doing a travel blog and writing for others, Bianca knew that she wanted to go back to acting.
And then came the offer from Star Creatives, an ABS-CBN outfit, for Pusong Ligaw.
“Honestly, it’s always been my dream to do a show here.
“Parang yung feeling ko dati kung makagawa ka ng show sa ABS, it’s such a huge milestone for an actor, because the way that they do shows here is something else talaga.
“Moving to ABS, to be completely honest, I was terrified.
“Takot na takot ako sa idea na finally tatapak ako dito, parang surreal nga siya.
“But mabilis na nawala agad ang takot ko, thanks to their guidance, of course, to all of my co-stars, to all the staff, who did not just make me feel welcome but also they made me feel like their friend and their family,” a grateful Bianca told PEP.
