Kapamilya actress Regine Angeles announced that she is pregnant with her first baby with husband Van Victor Leano.
On her Facebook account today, February 9, the 31-year-old actress said that she is six weeks' pregnant.
Regine also posted a snapshot of her recent sonogram.
The caption read: “The sweetest unexpected surprise. It was unplanned, but it was God's plan.”
In an exchange of Facebook messages with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) today, Regine shared that she learned about her pregnancy "two weeks ago."
She added, "Pero we waited na magka-heartbeat bago po in-announce."
In a separate interview last March 2016, Regine said that she prefers to wait two years after marriage before making any baby plans with Van.
She mentioned, however, that her husband wants to have a baby a year after their wedding.
Now on their first year of marriage, it was Victor’s wish that was granted.

Regine and Van tied the knot on January 10, 2016 at Iglesia ni Cristo-Lokal ng Capitol in Quezon City.

Incidentally, Regine plays the role of Shaina Magdayao's friend in ABS-CBN's newest afternoon soap, The Better Half, which will start airing on Monday, February 13.
In spite of her pregnancy, Regine told PEP that she plans to continue working until "June or July" this year.
