Eighty-six lovely women from all over the world strut the Miss Universe 2016 stage in their long gowns and swimsuit at the 65th Miss Universe preliminary competition tonight, January 26, 2017, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
Groups from different parts of the world arrived to the Philippines to show their full support for their delegates.
The preliminary competition will determine the Top 12 candidates that will be a step closer to this year’s Miss Universe crown.
Six judges make up this year’s panel: Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres; Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori; social entrepreneur and women’s empowerment activist Francine LeFrak; president and executive producer of the People’s Choice Awards Fred Nelson; former journalist, publicist, and international marketing director Rob Goldstone; and former model and founder of modeling and fashion school The Bailey Agency, Cynthia Bailey.
The Miss Universe 2016 Preliminary Competition is hosted by Derek Ramsay and reigning Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
