Sunshine Dizon has a piece of advice to people experiencing tough times: "Just trust the Lord that all things will be better in the end."

Sunshine Dizon remains positive despite the challenges the year has brought to her.

How will she remember 2016?

“Well, siguro in spite of all the things that happened this year, all the trying times, God has been so good to me naman.

He has blessed me more, my family is okay, my kids are doing well in spite of all the challenges.

I'm doing pretty good work-wise,” the Ika-6 na Utos actress told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview recently.

It's no secret that Sunshine and her estranged husband Timothy Tan are now battling in court.

Instead of dwelling on this, Sunshine said, “You just have to choose to look at the brighter side of things.

Lahat naman 'yan nakalaan. Kung masakit man, may reason 'yan.

Hindi mo man alam ngayon pero, eventually, malalaman mo kung ano naman 'yan.”

She also stressed, “Just trust the Lord that all things will be better in the end.”

PUBLIC APOLOGY. Yesterday, December 23, Timothy issued a public apology to Sunshine and their kids.

Timothy's legal counsel Atty. Peter Sanchez sent a message to PEP, “In the spirit of Christmas, Sunshine and Timothy have decided to settle their differences.”

His apology read: “With profound remorse, I sincerely apologize for the pain and embarrassment I have caused my wife Sunshine and our two children.

“I deeply regret having been the cause of their suffering.

“I assure Sunshine that my family is very important to me.

“I will do whatever it takes to avoid similar incident in the future.”

In a separate message sent to PEP, through PPL Management, Sunshine clarified that she and Timothy have not reconciled.

However, she said, “I appreciate Tim’s public apology, and I accept it in the spirit of Christmas and for the sake of our two children.”

Sunshine further said that she will issue a 'lengthier statement' after the holidays.
