Nagkaroon na ng malay ang PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) legend na si Samboy Lim, 52.
Matatandaang isinugod sa ospital si Samboy matapos mag-collapse sa isang practice game sa Yñares Arena, Pasig City, noong November 28, 2014.

Ayon sa Facebook post ng asawa ni Samboy na si Len Lim, nakalabas na ng ospital ang basketbolista at patuloy ang pagpapagaling sa bahay mula pa noong January 14.
Bagamat hindi pa ito tuluyang nakakapagsalita, may kakayahan nang rumesponde si Samboy sa “simple instructions.”
“Sam is now out of coma, has opened his eyes, has a sleep-wake cycle, smiles at funny stories, cries when it seems he becomes aware of his condition, puckers his lips to gesture a kiss, and follows simple instructions to close eyes, to kiss, to move fingers, to stick out tongue,” saad ni Len sa mismong Facebook account ng basketbolista kahapon, January 19.
Bukod sa kumpletong medical supplies at “round-the-clock nurse care” ay patuloy pa rin ang pagsasailalim sa physical therapy program ni Samboy sa kanyang tahanan.
Bunsod nito ay nananatiling positibo ang kanyang kaanak sa tuluyan niyang paggaling.
“Sam's recovery has surprised his doctors, who told us that what we see in Sam now is entirely his and God's.
“We are all happy to see any improvement.
“This may be a long journey but each step is a step forward and closer to his recovery,” saad pa sa Facebook post.
Nagpasalamat din ang pamilya ni Samboy sa lahat ng mga nagdasal at tumulong na mabayaran ang kanilang hospital bill na umabot ng P2.8 million.
“Thank you again for your prayers and help to defray the medical bills of Sam.
“We paid a total of 2.8 Million pesos in Medical City.
“We continue to be deeply grateful for your love and help,” dagdag na pahayag ni Len.
