Binatikos ng maraming netizens ang aktor na si Robin Padilla dahil sa pag-post nito sa Instagram ng balota na may shade na ng kanyang mga ibinoto, partikular na si Mayor Rodrigo Duterte para sa pagka-pangulo.
Bahagi pa sa caption ni Robin: “Kapag pinapalagpas pa natin ang pagkakataon sa ito at hindi natin nailuklok si Rodrigo Duterte bilang Presidente ang inaasahan nating pagbabagong idudulot ng Federalismo ay mapupunta sa kawalan at mas lalong magpapatuloy ang senyorito at senyorita sa pang aalipin sa ating yaman at kalayaan.
“Ako ay hindi politico. Ako ay walang hinihinging posisyon. Ako ay walang hinihingi para sa akin.”
Mahigpit na ipinagbabawal ng COMELEC (Commission on Election) ang pagkuha ng larawan sa balota, ang pagsi-selfie sa loob ng presinto, ang pagkuha ng larawan sa resibo mula sa voter’s counting machine (VCM), at ang pagsuot ng mga damit na may pangalan ng kandidato sa loob ng presinto.

MARIEL ISSUES APOLOGY. Unang nabatikos ang asawa ni Robin na si Mariel Rodriguez na nagsuot T-shirt na may nakasulat na ‘DU30.’

Pero ipinagtanggol din niya ang sarili at sinabing wala siyang nilabag sa rules ng Comelec.
Sabi ng It’s Showtime host, “Honestly, I really don't think that I did anything unlawful. I have reviewed the reminders of the voting rules.
“1. I did not take photos inside the precinct because the Comelec in charge told me it was not allowed. Photo was taken in my personal car and outside the precinct where volunteers took photos with me as well so I thought I didn't disobey any rule.
“2.No one has seen my ballot.
“3. I am aware that you are not allowed to wear a shirt that states the NAME of your candidate or his/her face. DU30 is not his name. If I have offended anyone I humbly ask for your forgiveness but it was never my intention to break the rules. Thank you for your understanding.”
Kaugnay nito, nabatikos din ang pamangkin ni Robin na si Daniel Padilla at ang ka-love team nitong si Kathryn Bernardo dahil sa larawan nilang hawak-hawak ang kanilang balota.

Aniya, “I saw a Robin Padilla post with his filled up ballot and Mariel Padilla wearing a Duterte shirt. Awhile ago, Kathryn and Daniel draw flak for having pictures with their ballots.
“This 'NO PHOTOS/SELFIES INSIDE THE PRECINCT' issue has been debated on throughout this whole campaign. Maraming botante ang umaalma (including myself) dahil gusto nilang kuhanan ang kanilang mga balota for protection pero hindi pumayag ang COMELEC.
“May responsibiliad tayo bilang artista upang ipakita na pare-pareho tayong lahat dito. You can easily decline to have pictures taken dahil alam naman nating bawal.
“Sa kasalukuyan, maraming OFW ang iniimbestigahan at maaaring kasuhan dahil sa pagkuha ng litrato. Sino ang magpoprotekta sa kanila? Wag naman tayong maging unfair sa ating mga kababayan.
“No exceptions. No one is above the law.
“To the MEDIA people, taking pictures of artists and politicians with their voting receipts or ballots is a violation of the law. Or ngayon parang pwede na as long as hindi selfie? Dahil dito biglang ang dami ng loopholes dahil vague ang rules.
“Maybe COMELEC should release an advisory and be clearer with the supposed RULES. Kailangan klaro sa lahat dahil marami ang naaagrabyado.”
