Anjo Yllana and wife Jackie Manzano are back in each other's arms after a brief separation.
The couple's rocky relationship had been a subject of discussion among people in and out of showbiz since their civil wedding in 1996. It didn't come out as surprise when the couple revealed a few months back that they were filing for divorce.
However, things always come to a good end, as Anjo related in SOP yesterday, September 21. Anjo was a guest in Janno Gibbs's birthday celebration, and when the former greeted the birthday celebrator, he said: "'Tol, alam mo naman kung saan ka happy, happy ka. Idol kita, e. Noong nag-asawa ka, nag-asawa din ako. Noong naghiwalay ka, naghiwalay din ako. Noong nagkabalikan kayo, kami din, nagbalikan din!" Anjo was, of course, referring to Janno's colorful married life with wife Bing Loyzaga.
In an exclusive interview with Showbiz Central afterwards, Anjo confirmed that he and Jackie—actress turned flight attendant—are now in good terms.
"Right now, we're okay," said Anjo. "Magkasama kami at marami na nga kaming pina-fine tune. Siguro noon, e, na-miss niya ako, na miss ko din siya. ‘Tapos, usap. Iba din kasi, e, yung ikinukuwento niya sa akin, iba din kasi na wala ako sa bahay, di ba? Ako naman, na-miss ko maging father and husband. So sana itong darating na araw, e, maging formal."
Formal? Like a formal wedding?
"Nag-propose ako sa kanya," Anjo revealed. "Sabi ko, ‘Kung okay ito, pakasal na tayo.'"
Since Anjo and Jackie only had a civil wedding, Anjo said that he is now planning a church wedding.
"Wala pa akong church wedding. Sabi sa akin na baka kulang kami sa guidance from up there," said Anjo.
