Tiya pusit made us laugh in several comedy films and most recently in her role as Tita Bella in the defunct TV sitcom Bahay Mo Ba ’To. She became part of several movies since the early ‘80s, mostly comedy.But it was only last year that Star Awards gave her the Best Comedy Actress, which she shared with fellow comedienne Pokwang.
In her acceptance speech, Tiya Pusit quipped, “After 27 years, ngayon lang ako nagka-trophy, gusto pang hiramin ni Pokwang. Buti na lang si Pokwang ang kahati ko. Plastik!”
Eugene Domingo is also a theater actress. She was the comedienne who popped in jokes during serious moments in the movies Malikmata (2003), The Promise (2007), Paano Kita Iibigin (2007), and Bahay Kubo (2007).
The comedienne was the Best Supporting Actress for Bahay Kubo in the Metro Manila Film Festival last year. She said this recognition inspired her to do her job better. “Yung recognition is really very important kasi mas nakaka-inspire, na tama pala yung ginagawa mo,” said Eugene.
