Swiss concept artists Frank and Patrik Riklin are putting a twist to our concept of “luxury” with their art installation project “Null Stern Hotel” or “Zero-Star Hotel” in Gonten, Switzerland.
This “hotel” perched on a hill has a queen-sized bed, propped bedside tables, and night lamps.
Its guests have their own personal butler who would serve the meals, report the weather forecasts, and entertain them with “local jokes.”
For $210 0r PHP10,526 a night, the rate comes with the panoramic view of the Swiss Alps.
The catch: the room has no walls and doors.
According to BBC.com, this “zero-star hotel” project is a “critique of hotel culture and property ownership.”
Frank and Patrik told the international news outlet, “What interests us is the intention in society.
“We have also called for the consequent liberation from real estate in society.”
This project began sometime in 2016.
The hotel is already fully-booked for the whole year of 2017.
