Miss Universe 2016 contestants made a quick visit to Cebu on Tuesday, December 13.
LCS Group's Chavit Singson and Department of Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro accompanied the ladies.

Cebu was their third stop after experiencing the cool waves of Siargao last Sunday, and exploring Manila last Monday.

The swimsuit competition of the pageant's 65th edition will be held in the Queen City of the South come January.
OSLOB. The 12 candidates were divided into two groups, and were brought to Oslob, which is famous for its whale sharks.
Five helicopters were prepared for the beauty queens' trip to the southern-most part of the island.
Philippine bet Maxine Medina rode with Miss Vietnam Dang Thi Le Hang, Miss China Li Zhenying, Miss New Zealand Tania Pauline Dawson, and Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane.

Miss Philippines and Miss China were also also with her.
In a separate Instavid post, Miss New Zealand said, "I've never been in a helicopter before so this is super exciting!"

Miss Thailand was amazed with the island's aerial view.
Her post read: "Wow!!! This is truly heaven on earth. I can't believe my eyes when I saw this stunning view from the top. What a wonderful world."
Upon arrival at Oslob, the candidates were briefed about the dos and dont's while swimming with the whale sharks.


It was a once in a life time experience for most of the girls including Miss Thailand (top) and Miss China (bottom).


Meanwhile, it was Maxine's second time to swim with the whale sharks but her first time to have a good photo with the marine mammals.
She exclaimed, "I finally had my perfect picture with the whale shark. I can say that it was more fun for the 2nd time around!"
JPARK. The other group composed of Miss Myanmar Htet Htet Htun, Miss Japan Sari Nakazawa, Miss Korea Jenny Kim, Miss Malaysia Kiran Jassal, and Miss Indonesia Kezia Warouw stayed at JPark Island Resort and Waterpark in Lapu-lapu City.
Miss Korea edescribed Cebu as a "paradise" in one of her Instagram posts.
Miss Japan feasted on Philippine mangoes—from dried to fresh to mango shakes!

SEE YOU SOON, PH. Now that their week-long trip in Philippines has come to an end, some of the contestants already bid farewell to their fellow candidates.
In an Instagram post, Miss Thailand said she already found a sister in Miss USA Deshauna Barber.
She wrote, "We all know that miss universe is the competition. Everyone wishes to reach the top. But it's the best that you could have friends along the way there. I'm gonna miss you my beautiful sister @deshaunabarber @missusa.
"See you again next month."
Miss Malaysia was grateful for the awesome experience.
Meanwhile, Miss Korea will miss Miss Indonesia, Miss Japan, Miss Myanmar, and Miss Malaysia.
On Instagram, she posted their group photo with the caption: "I'm going to miss these girls for 3 weeks."
