There's no denying that Xian Lim and Iris Lee are film buffs through and through.
Working in the industry not just as an actor but also as a producer alongside his girlfriend Iris, Xian eagerly delves deeper into this side of entertainment.
As of today, May 18, 2024, both Xian and Iris have taken to their respective social media accounts to share their delightful experiences in France, attending the Cannes Film Festival 2024.
This grand event, spanning 11 days from May 14 to 25, also features the Cinéma de la Plage — Cannes Film Festival's outdoors theatres that celebrate the great classics of French and international cinema.

Set up along the Croisette beach for cinephiles like Xian and Iris to witness, the program can be viewed free of charge.
Snaps from the evening were seen on Iris's Instagram stories.

Outside of work, they are seen unwinding in their activewear in Antibes — a resort town between Cannes and Nice on the French Riviera (Côte d'Azur).

PRODUCING A NEW PROJECT IN THAILAND
In a previous post published two days before they set off to France, Iris took her followers behind the scenes of a new movie that she and Xian are producing in Thailand.
Her caption simply read: "Kuman Thong [film roll emoji]"

According to a Thai folk religion, Kuman Thong is a household divinity, believed to bring luck and fortune to the owner if properly revered.

The name derives from Kumara which means "sanctified young boy" and "thong" which is Thai for golden.
Previous reports reveal that it is going to be a horror film about a burnt fetus in Thailand.

XIAN AND IRIS'S HISTORY
Iris and Xian's professional collaboration traces back to the first-ever VivaMax series, Parang Kayo Pero Hindi in 2021, where Xian and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa took on lead roles.
It wasn't until December 2023 though, when the twosome were caught up in rumors about being in a relationship, gaining momentum when they were spotted together at a motorcycle riding school a day before Valentine's Day.
The viral photo made the rounds on social media almost two months after Xian confirmed his breakup with Kim Chiu in December, the same month he started being linked to Iris.
Rumors about Xian and Kim's breakup started after netizens noticed that Kim went on a solo trip in October.
RELATIONSHIP CONFIRMATION
For Esquire PH's cover story in May 2024, Xian gives an exclusive interview, covering his attitude when it comes to entering relationships, moving on from his high-profile breakup with Kim, and commencing a new chapter with Iris.
To finally put theories and assumptions to rest, he confirms, "Yes, I’m seeing Iris.
"Just to clear everything, to clear all the speculations. We are seeing each other and we are very happy."
The Love. Die. Repeat. lead actor also stresses the fact that their dating status only began after finalizing his breakup with Kim.
He explains: "Una sa lahat, Iris is a talented filmmaker. She's my producer and she's also my creative partner. These are the things that I want to clarify."
Reiterating about his breakup with Kim, he says, "Number one: that there was a third party. There's no third party. That's it. That plain and simple."
He concludes his revelation by ultimately sticking up for Iris: "Things happen in life that we're not going to be able to control. And as much as we don't want it to happen, life happens.
"And it just pains me na parang may mga taong nadamay. That just really saddens me and that's very unfortunate.
"Ang busy-busy ni Iris, ang busy-busy ko. She has a lot on her plate, and I have a lot on my plate.
"And, you know, she doesn't deserve all that flak. We don't deserve that because all the things na people are saying, there's no truth to any of it."
