In the Philippines, Holy Week marks a period dedicated to prayer and reflection.
For many, it's also a cherished opportunity for rest and retreat.
Some, among them celebrities, use the time for a beach getaway.
Here were some of the spots celebrities chose during the Holy Week break.
PALAWAN
KATHRYN BERNARDO, JERICHO ROSALES, AND ROBI DOMINGO
Kathryn Bernardo celebrated her 28th birthday at the Isla Amara in El Nido, Palawan.
Co-owned by Kathryn, Piolo Pascual, and several non-showbiz partners, the boutique resort provided the perfect backdrop for her special day.
Kathryn opted to extend her stay for another week, maybe for some peace and quiet after her birthday festivities.

Among the guests at Kathryn's birthday celebration were Jericho and Robi, who was accompanied by his wife Maiqui Pineda.
Jericho Rosales also decided to stay longer at the resort.
On March 27, 2024, the Kapamilya actor showcased the breathtaking sunset on the island in his post on Instagram Reels.
In the caption, he simply added a turtle emoji.
Like Jericho, Robi kept his trip relatively low-key on social media, but he shared the highlights of his journey on Instagram Reels.
In the caption, Robi wrote, "El Nido thingz. [emoji] Celebrating a lot of wins in this magical island. [emoji]"
MICHELLE DEE AND SAMANTHA PANLILIO
Miss Universe Philippines 2023, Michelle Dee hied off to El Nido for the Holy Week break with fellow beauty queen Samantha Panlilio, fashion designer Mark Bumgarner, and creative director Earl Semitara.
Mark and Earl were also among Kathryn's guests during her birthday celebration.
Meanwhile, Michelle took to Instagram to share some snapshots from her beach trip, writing “blessed & grateful” in the caption of her post along with a shell emoji.
BELA PADILLA
During the Holy Week, Bela Padilla chose Coron as her destination, where she took part in a free dive camp.
On March 31, 2024, she put out the highlights of her first day on the trip via an Instagram post, expressing that this experience had fulfilled a long-held dream.
She wrote, "I’ve never done summer camp as a kid, so this is a dream come true—and to be among world champions is the cherry on top of this lovely cake [emoji]"
Pauleen Luna and Vic Sotto
Pauleen Luna and her husband Vic Sotto enjoyed a well-deserved vacation with their daughters Tali and Baby Mochi at their preferred retreat, the luxurious Amanpulo Resort in Palawan.
On March 28, 2024, Pauleen shared a family photo on Instagram taken from their villa, featuring the family all wearing matching rainbow outfits.
"Gratitude," Pauleen wrote in the caption of her post.
BORACAY
SANYA LOPEZ
Boracay remains Sanya Lopez's top choice for a beach getaway, and she returned there once again this year for her Holy Week break.
On March 30, 2024, she posted a photo of herself against the backdrop of the sunset.
In her caption, she wrote, "Oh nasan ka ba mahal…hinahanap ka na ng puso ko... [emoji]"
KALADKAREN
KaladKaren also creates lasting memories in Boracay, indulging in activities, like parasailing, sunbathing, sea walking, and relishing the island life alongside her fiancé Luke Wrightson.
Kaladkaren expressed gratitude for her well-deserved break, "Napakaganda ng Pilipinas! [emoji] Thank You Lord for this much-deserved break! Have a meaningful Holy Week wherever you are! [emoji]"
ANDI MANZANO
Andi Manzano cherished a bonding session at the white beach in Boracay Island with her husband GP Reyes and their daughters Olivia, Amelia, and Lucia.
In an Instagram post, Andi expressed her daughters' delight during the trip.
She wrote (published as is), "Had the most amazing weekend at @movenpickboracay! [emoji]
"My girls just couldn’t get enough and kept saying they never wanted to leave.. saying they could stay here forever. [emoji]
"We had delicious food, tons of kids and beach activities, enjoyed the huge pool (it’s the largest on the island!), and even made some wonderful new friends.

ZAMBOANGA
VALEEN MONTENEGRO AND DASURI CHOI
Valeen Montenegro and her husband Riel Manuel spent a delightful Holy Week vacation in Dapitan City in Zamboanga.
They were accompanied by former Tahanang Pinakamasaya host Dasuri Choi and dancer Phoi Chan.
In an Instagram post, Dasuri revealed that the trip was actually her wedding gift for Valeen and Riel.

Kyline Alcantara headed to Bulusan, Sorsogon, during the Holy Week break with her family.
Sharing glimpses of their trip on Instagram, one memorable moment was a lovely dinner by the beach.
In another Instagram post, Kyline flaunted her toned abs in a swimsuit while posing on a tree for a photo.
She wrote in the caption: "soaking up the sun."
ZAMBALES
Atasha Muhlach
During the Holy Week break, Atasha Muhlach chose to visit Zambales, her family's favorite destination and her "happy place."
Additionally, Atasha put out a video of her riding a jet ski and enjoying the waves.
NEGROS ORIENTAL
Sofia Andres
Sofia Andres traveled to Negros Oriental for the Holy Week break, accompanied by her daughter Zoe.
During their trip, they explored beach destinations in Dumaguete City and the municipality of Siaton.
In a separate Instagram post, Sofia pondered on the significance of authenticity, noting how her family has embodied this value.
She emphasized the importance of genuine kindness over mere rhetoric.
She wrote, "a world where perfection is often a facade, my family stands out with their honesty and genuine hearts. Imperfect but true, they navigate life with authenticity, devoid of pretentiousness or obnoxious airs.
"Yet, in contrast, I’ve witnessed other families cloaking themselves in religious rhetoric, preaching from the Bible while simultaneously belittling and humiliating others.

Drag Race Philippines Season 2 finalist Miss Jade So chose a nearby beach destination for Holy Week: Nasugbu, Batangas.
In an Instagram post on March 31, 0224, the drag queen confidently flaunted her beach-ready body.
